Sorry for your loss. i always feared this will happen to me sooner or later. it was really bad when i was a kid as it would keep me up at night in fear. My grandparents nextdoor neighbors house caught fire back in 88 and i've been obsessing over something like this happening to me almost every night since then. I even have house fire dreams occasionally. how did this start? Seems like some of the stuff was not burned at all while others are totaly charred.
Very sorry for the loss. I experienced this at a close friends home several years ago. I don't know what's worse, seeing the damage everywhere or the horrible smokey smell and wet mush under your feet, wondering if anything wasn't ruined.

every thing is a loss - ether to fire, smoke or water. This was my first time in burnt out house, I was surprised by the mush.
