  • had my p17 since 2004, got thousands of shots through it, only problem I've ever had was the pin that holds the hammerclosed, and the pin thats through the hammer itself slowly wiggled themselves out after replacing them with slightly longer ones with c clips.

Oh, I do regularly oil the pump seal and the valve seal.. but I noticed that it dousnt even touch the barrel, so its pointless in the first place :-\

  • Maybe I'll turn a higher compression piston on the lathe also.... No promises, I'm not the best machinist in the world...

  • +1 for 1942's idea.... In my case I'm going to perform this repair today, and will probably go w deburring and harbor freight seals though....:) I'll post the vid soon.

  • THE REPAIR O RING IS A #117 OD=1 INCH, ID=.799, CS=.301, THE MANUFACTURER DOESNT DEBUR THE AIR INTAKE HOLE, CAUSEING O RING TO TEAR AND LEAK, BUT AFTER YOU DEBUR HOLE, AND PUT ON NEW #177 IT SHOULD WORK OK.

  • How do you oil it ? Please message me back or reply

  • @HellaCopterTV down the inside shaft, a drop, them work it back and forth whilerotating it to get it all around the seal.. Mines almost 8 years old, never had to replace anything but a creepy pin.. but that normal on these things.. so I hear

  • dude can u tell me how to load this thing i just found one i bought 6 years ago in 04 when i was like 13 and i have no clue how to load this thing

  • @nickiskewl08 just open it through the top and keep going until it gets to about an 180 digree angle

  • if it is a good gun as you say and i dont doubt that why doesnt Beeman fix the problem or give orings free in the box ? why make a gun that is good at shooting but doesnt last but 200 or so shots ? crazy

  • yep, 390 thats what i get for 7.4gr pointed pellets, i did two repair videos to help people because its a nice gun, and i had mine for around ten years and have done the O ring replacement like you do. the most important thing i have known is keeping cylinder lubed lightly with lithium grease its great for helping main O ring do its sweep to chamber hole. i hope they dont throw these away, but learn from us how to fix.

  • good video, i have a leak repair video on my page. white lithium grease is best for aluminum cylinders and O rings. also i have had the gun for 10 years and manufacturer even listed white lithium grease as the best for the piston and cylinder contact. also shimming is good, i did that with my guns and got a little higher velocities because of the good seal on loading port.

  • Will this gun be loud enough to freak out my neighbors if I have a relatively large backyard?

Also, is there a way to prevent this gun from leaking air?

  • did you see any noticable defects on the o-rings before replacing on your gun . i was wondering if the seals can also fail without obvious physical defects. thanks

  • too complicated

  • No, I wouldn't use it for rabbits. Not powerful enough. But you can hunt small birds and chipmunks at close range.

  • wud it kill rabbits and stuff ?

  • Not really. Some people have tried and maybe gotten 10-20fps more, but that required a metal lathe and machining new parts. Even then, the guy who did it, said it wasn't worth the time/labor that it required.

  • @hegshen So your saying that no matter what this gun is gonna leak, and then be worthless, or was it just your pistol becuase i want to get one but im not good at repairs.

Also does it have a rifled barrel

  • is it possible to bump up the power on these?

  • cool thnx i was goin to see what this pistol was like and now i know what to do like what its like and now i can fix it cool video thnx again
