Dude he said that he wanted to base our energy system on Spain with a 15% unemployment rate. Also the healthcare system in Europe sucks everybody says it there except for the people who don't work and get it for doing nothing. The Republican Party was hurt under the Bush years, but now obama is destroying America. Look at the debt, failure over foreign policy, job killing healthcare and energy bills, and Pelosi and a couple others want a VAT tax. Not to mention his failed stimulus bill.
Continuing so how do you plan to pay off this debt? Hmm,,,, The answer is you can't, I would like to see you try and increase employment without deficit spending.... You silly conservatives and your stupidity.
Well the first thing you do is have a balanced budget amendment signed and elect leaders who've signed pledges not to vote for or sign any unbalanced budget. Than you cut spending a lot. Bring us back to a Constitutional sized government where there's no more foreign bases, welfare, or departments that should be run by the states. You go to a Fair Tax of 18% that will create millions of jobs. You drill, deregulate industrial America, and get the illegals out. And you have some tariffs to pay debt.
Balance budget amendment would make it impossible to fix a recession why well let me explain for you. When you do a stimulus it increases the economy by more than just the money put it gets multiplied by the spending multiplier sm=1/1-mpc. Mpc is determined by how much money is spent per dollar americans make. assume that it is .90 it would make the spending multiplier 10. So if the government puts in 5 billion dollars it creates fifty billion dollars.
Not balancing the budget and putting ourselves into debt. Is basically just taking a problem and stopping it for a temporary amount of time until it comes back to haunt you. Plus you fail to bring up the massive inflation caused by the printing of money in the debt. This whole crisis we're in right now was caused by that attitude and you just encourage them to continue it.
Spending is inflationary when the economy is at our near full employment. The last quarter of last year inflation went down 3% even with large amounts of government spending. Spending is not inflationary when the economy is underemployed.
So say the increase taxes by the same amount it gets multiplied by the tax multiplier. TM = 1/1-sm. The tax multiplier would equal -9. 5(increase in spending) = -45. So the 50 from the stimulus - 45 equals 5 thus destroying the multiplier. A constitutional size government was great, for a constitutional era. Fair tax of 18% would not be nearly enough revenue. Not to mention getting rid of the illegals is going to take a lot of money. Deregulate? Why is it OK to regulate every faucet of American
Listen we can have a Fair Tax at 18%, but only if people are willing to make sacrifices in government. I'm willing to, because they only hurt the system if you look at history. We don't need government to solve our problems, because we are the free people. Also if you got rid of the Department of Energy. That in itself is enough to pay for the increase in border security. Also regulations are killing America, because they prevent the free market from doing what they want to do creating jobs.
Like, education, health care roads, you know the stuff the improves value in life. Over 50% of our spending is on national defense, think of how many mouths you can feed with the cost of one f-22.
Life, but stop big busniesses from molesting the middle class.... Now that's big government. State run welfare puts money back in the economy, x the spending multiplier, it creates market that wouldn't have normally been there. See when the government takes money out it is leaked, and money needs to be put back in, and this cannot be done with the balance budget system. So what else you going to do?
Well I'm for the elimination of all these welfare programs and replacing them with job insurance and savings accounts in liquid like geothermal energy. Big business works if it's competitive. When government regulates, picks winners and losers, and gets the Federal Reserve in it becomes bad. Recessions would never happen if there were no wars or government involvement like the Federal Reserve. Also establishing more of a Ross Perot trade plan can work to create jobs.
i hate to sound like a prick (well not actually), but you are giving an impression that you haven't heard the arguments against the free market. The government needs subsidies in some cases because capitalism looks down upon failure and destroys the week. Businesses do not like competition, why becuase it cuts into their profits. The United States a great run as a capitalist nation but it is following apart now. After WW2 most Capitalistic nations were destroyed and the only way to rebuild was
American products. When the started to catch up, the only way Americans could compete was to make cheaper products or better products so what did American corporations do.... The slowly decreased real wages... Thus giving birth to the lending market. Americans started excessive lending to compensate for the loss of real wages and people got very wealthy from it, well the lending market collapsed and the insurance company didn't have the money to back it up
Well first off the police and fire fighters are state and local so they wouldn't be included. The real cuts would be getting rid of medicare, social security, medicaid, and welfare. Replace it with liquid investment accounts and job insurance. Than you get rid of all unconstitutional federal departments. You also get rid of the 700 offshore bases. And you'll still have enough for an increase in border security.
We've being going through decline ever since we started these programs. Go back to a Constitutional sized government where business is extremely competitive and they create jobs and they create new products. Let new people with new ideas come in and be successful. We'll still be the most powerful nation in the world, because we're the free people who solve there own problems without a government who's more concerned about winning reelection than actually doing the right thing.
the reason America became the most powerful governed has nothing to do with the size of you government as if you knew you world history you would know it's because of the 1st and 2nd world that allowed America to become the most powerful county as unlike the European countries where the wars were fought in American industry wasnt destroyed by bombing and the negative affects of war but also Europe had almost bankrupted itself fighting the wars and to rebuild the infrastructure of their countries
Government is best when government is least. Are problems should be solved by ourselves and not by government. And size doesn't matter isn't true it does matter. Yet it works in a different way than with government.
there is a very easy penis joke is could make about your last comment but i wont Lol
but some problems need the government to take charge to stop people taking advantage out of a situation so you need a bigger government than what you would want as there are more issues than in 1776
We have more issues yes,but government can't and shouldn't solve them. They've tried and tried again just to make it worse. You see they go after a short term answer that will just get them reelected. In business they solve the problem, because they want the money for there kids so they when they fix a problem they really do it. Also look at healthcare. They tried to fix it through managed care, medicare, medicaid, the FDA,and not allowing people to cross state lines. All made doctors unhappy.
no what stops the government from succeeding thus allowing to to make your points is not the government but instead corporate lobbyists who are buying politician's into not voting on making things better for the people but rather the industries.
campaign finance reform is what the tea party's should be asking for not getting a far smaller government and people should not believe what glenn beck says as he is just a simple verbal gold digger
Well I'm for campaign finance reform, but industry in America is good as long as the Federal Government's not involved in picking winners or losers. There should be no bailouts, subsides, regulations,or Federal Reserve involved in business. If we get government out of it there will be more competition and more jobs. I'm not for corporatism, but I'm for Laizzess-Faire and extremely competitive business. This will keep prices low and get newer and better ideas out there.
your laizzess-faire viewpoint is open to corruption from people who are out to make money at any cost which is why the government is needed to regulate to stop this
Are you an idiot? Do you know what would happen if farms were not subsidized. One harvest you would pay a quarter for a tomatoes and the next you would pay ten dollars. Competitive businesses always lead to destruction of businesses and creates monopoly. So yes, you are for Corporatism. You are so wrong if the government got out, there would be nothing to make a recovery from a recession. The free market can stabilize itself in making expenditures equal to output, but it will not bring it back
Subsides shouldn't be done, because they affect business in America. Most of the time they just go to the big farms and let big companies take power. Well if it becomes a monopoly than there doing a good job,but if they start to hurt us than we just go to another company that does it better. And government can regulate if companies get to big. You need to watch Milton Friedman and Ron Paul. Watch them and you'll think in an entirely different way trust me.
I have watched Milton Friedman and alot.... alot of Ron Paul. Subsidies are done to give smaller businesses a chance. When their is a monopoly their is a false democracy. Learn what socialism really is, and you will be like wow, this benefits me. Ron Paul, Peter Schiff, and others are trying to rewrite history as a perfect system when it is not, it will always fail, we will fix it and it will fail worse next time. Rewash and repeat until Socialism.
Listen I support small government and business. I think all business should have a shot. And most of the time it does. You just need to prevent companies from making it so new guys can't in. I'm just for freedom man.
Listen I support democracy in the work place, a collective work place. A place where everyone is educated so everyone in the businesses has a say. In these kinds of businesses new technology will flourish, more so than that of the more fascist run companies that plague the country right now. There is no freedom in Capitalism, merely the illusion of it.
Freedom and new technologies can only exist with Capitalism. Under Socialism government leaders control everything. Meaning that they just do what makes us happy right now and don't look down the road. In business they make deals that will make there company successful long after they die. Also if you did what most Socialist want and have a wage limit. Than what you'll is no one making new technologies, because there will be no motive to.Capitalism has it's holes, but government makes them bigger.
You couldn't be more wrong. The anti socialism campaign is being led by the bourgeoisie themselves. People like Glenn Beck are instilling lies into your minds. Socialist do not want a wage limit. I think you a referring to the CEO's of AIG. Government intervention patches the holes, then they re-open. Socialism always looks down the road, as it for the people, by the people. The people are interested in the best interest of the people not profits.
A socialist government is government involved in free markets which I'm against. The real thing I'm against about Socialism is that it's run by and for the people. The goal is to please the majority and that's wrong, because the rich who work hard are the minority. So it encourages raising taxes on the rich and giving more to welfare programs. That's not a Constitutional government, because the Constitution really only allows the Fed to be involved in military, immigration, and trade. It's wrong.
The rich are not there, the rich do not necessarily work harder than the other people. Tell me how hard George Bush worked in his life? Being born into a reasonable amount of wealth allows you to create more wealth. If someone can't afford education, the are forced to work low paying mass production jobs. In Socialism we work together to come up with knew ideas and split the profits equally, but we also share the labor involved in creating the profits.
The Constitution gives the government the right to protect the general welfare of the people. If the current economic system does not protect the general welfare of the people, than it is unconstitutional. Letting a large majority, leave in poverty, is unconstitutional.
Well first off you must know that James Madison later clarified on that. He said it was the worst most regret able thing written in the Constitution, because it was a complete misunderstanding. Also you have to look at what promote means. Promote means to encourage. So government should encourage people to give, but not give. Also if you want to talk about general welfare. You'll find that nobody is to be treated in an inhumane way. That doesn't mean poverty it means something like Genocide.
Well they really did nothing to define general welfare. So I could say it's not fair every kid doesn't have and Xbox so we have to give them money, because that's the general welfare. Also you have to go back to what I said about promote. And what that means is to encourage people to give. So really it means government should enforce good moral principle. Your really have to examine those words. How one of the men who wrote those words went against them and than see.
@supermurder67 wrong! socialism crushes creativity, innovation, and replaces it with complacency. Free market capitalism is all about competition, which allows for the best ideas for the best prices wins. Thus, more productivity within every industry.
The government can put a patch on them and temporary cure them. That is it, the economy will collapse again, and it will be temporary fixed over and over again. Until someone wakes up and realized the entire businesses structure is what is wrong.
Well assuming its a tyrannical state, then yes. If you have an institution that is for the people by the people than it helps, becuase collectivity lowers prices.
The competitive nature of free market capitalism is the reason it eventually falls. Profit rates increase as wages decrease and then the people do not have enough money to but the the mass amounts of goods they make, thus causing a crisis. Also the economy had the longest series of growths from 1940-1970 when business was regulated...
Yeah, we should get rid of the seven hundred offshore bases. Medicare, Social Security, and Welfare make up such a small amount of the national budget. Your comments lead me to believe that you listen to Fox without doing any independent research.
the healthcare in europe and in particular western europe is far superior than the American form and we all know it but Americans have a strange idea that since it's American it must be the best when that's just really incorrect.
obama has not actually increased the national debt to as much as i bet you think he has as it's increased by less than 50% since he became president and thats with the stimulus etc
Bring America where, back to the 19th Century. Also failed stimulus bill, have you checked the stock market lately???? I bet you did not. Unemployment has not gone down yet, becuase their has been no job programs creating, and unemployment is a lagging indicator, as it goes down after GDP rises. Health Care sucks in Europe? Yeah, that's exactly why almost every country ranked in the top ten for health care is in Europe.
I like Rubio, but I think going with Crist is the best way to retain the seat for the GOP. Trust me I don't agree with his stance on the stimulus, but I want to see both the Moderate and Conservative wings grow so we can win back seats in the northeast.
Moderates like Crist are the guys who are destroying this party. Crist has not done a good job as governor compared to Rubio being a fast moving smart guy in state politics. There is a Constitution Revolution in America and Rubio is part of it. I think Crist will lose if giving the nomination for 1 reason. He is an awful governor and says Florida is doing OK. And Rubio is young, smart, conservative, and will help us achieve new Republicans goals. Like the Fair Tax and a Gold Standard.
If you want Marco to win, you MUST be registered as a Republican and vote for him in the primaries. Change your party affiliation today to vote for Marco!
This guy is crazy, its easy for him to talk the way he does hes from South Carolina, its easy to be the way he is because he is in a very red state. He could not win, out side of the South, or a bunch of Plains states.
Well said, Issuesand Justice! Marco Rubio has great potential as a U.S. Senator. On the other hand, Charlie Crist has proven repeatedly that he's not suited to holding public office. Crist must be defeated in the Fla. Republican Primary or this Senate seat is lost for at least 6 years!
Jim DeMint is great! He's always willing to stand up for principle. Rubio, Toomey, Coburn, and back in 2007, endorsing the guy who should have been the Republican nominee for president, Mitt Romney.

the healthcare in europe and in particular western europe is far superior than the American form and we all know it but Americans have a strange idea that since it's American it must be the best when that's just really incorrect.
obama has not actually increased the national debt to as much as i bet you think he has as it's increased by less than 50% since he became president and thats with the stimulus etc

Rubio and Demint could make a really good 2012 team.

hahahahahahahahaha
your a fucking nutcase if you think they have any chance of winning with the teabaggers in charge of the republicans
92Disturbed 2 years ago
The teaparty members are what we need to bring America back.
cpblackangel88 2 years ago
Back from where? if it's the "old" days is what you wish then the basic tea party principals would stop that from happening

Are you sure Rubio supports the gold standard? I support it, but it seems most do not support it.

If you want Marco to win, you MUST be registered as a Republican and vote for him in the primaries. Change your party affiliation today to vote for Marco!

Christ is very much electable. Rubio is virtually unknown. Why doesn't he run for Governor when Cahrlie is elected to the senate?

DeMint is the man! FL could learn a lesson from him. He has been a terrific senator here in S.C.

This guy is crazy, its easy for him to talk the way he does hes from South Carolina, its easy to be the way he is because he is in a very red state. He could not win, out side of the South, or a bunch of Plains states.

CHARLIE CRIST FOR SENATE

Vote Rubio...the real conservative leader!

Good to hear of this endorsement, it reaffirms my positive impression about Marco Rubio.

At a time when we needed Gov. Crist to stand up for our values he failed,as did most other Republicans.
We expect this from the left but Gov. Crist should know Floridians and Most other Americans believe in opportunity not bail outs.
This government is out of control and I welcome new faces.
