Herbert Alf from the University of Georgia .had a thesis on Self directed education. His study in relativity to this discussion , reveals the capacity of a self directed/motivated individual , and their potential. Plus there is the old mottos " lead or get out of the way", and "if you're not the lead dog the view rarely changes".
