With the 6 inch floor sander this took about 45 minutes. With just the hand sander it takes a lot longer. But to honest, even if I do use a sander occasionally, I still finish it with some kind of blade. And that's another 6+ hours.
I have been wanting to make a good bokken for awile but could not find good wood so mine kept breaking. You should start giving bokkens away to random commentors.
