My mom introduced me to Barbra's movies when i was about 6, 7 yr old. I grew up singing Queen Bee and Everything. That's what's missing in our children today. Good reference, good songs, emotions instead of sex. And that's coming from a child of the early 80s. :)

The movie stank but Barbra was TOTALLY captivating. The best song on the album even though Evergreen won the Oscar. I must have lsitened to this every day for about three years. Perfection.

I discovered this album with my older cousin when I was about 11. I'm 45 now. I learned the lyrics then, I still know the whole album by heart now. Stays with you forever.
I watched this movie with my brother he passed away 4 years later and I cannot watch it without remembering how he and I cried during this scene. Needless to stay it stil makes me cry.
When I first saw this about 30yrs. ago, I was so enamored at her versatility. This was the second movie after seeing Funny Girl.. different contrast... Now 52.. still appreciative of her gift. What a treasure!
actually Patti Lupone can do this song with much more heart...and REAL tears...and her voice...doesn't show any signs of quitting...Barb knew her voice was going so she started getting behind the camera!!!!

Barbra truly poured her guts into this LIVE performance and it's one of the (many) reasons the Star is Born album became the largest selling Soundtrack for a motion picture in history. I believe The Bodyguard finally knocked it off it's thrown 20 yrs. later.
Amazing moment in the film, amazing performance, amazing singer, she is just superb!!!!!!!!!wonderful! i loved this film, her role and Johnny..at the end she paid tribute to him as he keep on living through her!!

....one of my FB friends just posted the final scene from his candidate for most romantic movie. I immediately thought of this movie (1976) A Star Is Born with Barbra & Kris Kristofferson...he is dead and she works through her agony and anger in this clip. Streisand is really crying as she sings this (you can see her wiping her nose!) who knew Babs could rock out?...love the afro!
This song was the perfect ending to a great and emotional love story....I wore out my soundtrack so am happy to have found and heard this song again now. There is no denying she is an absolutely phenomenal singer without peer. You need to have seen the movie to truly appreciate the emotion she shows singing this song...it's all there, beautifully done, tears, pride, determination...and it still moves me. The other songs in this movie were all exceptional, especially Evergreen!

Definitely one of her very best films...and the soundtrack is awesome as well,'fitting' the film perfectly!!Barbra sings the score with such a massive variety of 'colours' in her voice...each track flawlessly rendered...a true genius musician...we'll never see the likes of Bubby again...she's a 'one of a kind' (and not the 'Roslyn' variety,LoL!!)Amazing to watch and listen to!!

I went into Hollywood 3 nights in a row and saw this movie when it first came out. To me this is one of the greatest movies she has ever made. Talk about emotions running wild. Love you Barbra.

My mom introduced me to Barbra's movies when i was about 6, 7 yr old. I grew up singing Queen Bee and Everything. That's what's missing in our children today. Good reference, good songs, emotions instead of sex. And that's coming from a child of the early 80s. :)

Well THAT was a little slice of heaven.Hell,I was 16 when this was released & whenever I wanna trip down 'memory lane' this is my 'go to' film.I wore the album out but thank god for cd's,and dvd's.I know this was the 3rd version of this film but I'm just not interested in a possible re-make.We have perfection right here in the Streisand Kristofferson version.Enough said.

The movie stank but Barbra was TOTALLY captivating. The best song on the album even though Evergreen won the Oscar. I must have lsitened to this every day for about three years. Perfection.
