  • Yup, Good job on this! I prolly would make it so you are a little further away from the chainsaw. But, really nice unit! The negative comments are just Trolls without anything better to do! LOL... Maybe they should be out making firewood!?

  • I have a small tree service and this by far outdoes my splitter. Great job ! I also have a few years in industrial maintenance including a saw mill and know what kind of work it takes to accomplish such. You will get some negative comments as some ppl are jealous because they lack the drive and motivation to build their own. Carry on

  • @peteygirl1984 Thanks for the compliments. You are right about people anf their comments. I pretty much ignore them. I know what I have here and it works for me.

    Logwizard

  • looks dangerous

  • IMO you can do the same job with a chain saw and a log splitter...It kills the purpose with a "processor" if you have to re-split the log multiple times....need a multi-way-wedge... and as stated before, safety needs a lot of improvement....a fun learning by doing project....but other than that...wasted energy and money....

  • This video was the very first time out. There have been many changes since, such as a 6 way movable wegdge allowing me to split in hal 1/4 or 6 ways. sorry if it doesn't meet your needs.

  • @LogWizzard Do you have an updated video with all the new "bells and whistles"??

  • @LogWizzard Looks like a great machine. I am trying to find the saw motor you said it was a mo77yc. They tell me thats not enough numbers to identify the right motor. How many tooth sprocket are you using? Are you using a single stage or two stage pump with that. Any information would be very helpful

  • @akkamaan Sure there are things to improve.

Now where is yours so we can critque it?

  • @akkamaan I agree....but it works...the hydraulics are obviously in need of reminement, but she works!

  • Is ok for a home unit and maybe if your gonna cut for some family too,,maybe go in on a share system and spend a few weekends cutting and plitting and youll get your needs met but its not for commercial use

  • This does not look very safe.....controls right by chain saw blade

  • Go Yankees

  • looks fucking dangerous.....nice skills keeping your body parts. Guard that thing A1 and you have a package...lol

  • Nice!

  • nicht schlecht so was habe ich mir auch schon gedacht

  • it looks a bit dangeros

  • @ gr8antone: Bullshit. Thats why the world still builds roads with hand shovels too, because machines are slow and useless?

Log.... keep the improvements coming, can't wait to see the new video

  • What size gear motor on the saw? Good job.

  • Hi:

     It's a Webster MO77YC uses 18-21 GPM

  • i wasnt toooo impressed thinking a 'short" commercial . seeing 2 guys and home made ; pertty good . pertty dern good . I only suggest bar guard & log length stop . good work .

  • I've been working on many improvements since this was posted. When I get a new vid I'll post it.

    Thanks for compliments

  • I know the logwizzard, and have seen lot of improvements added to this machine since the video was shot...and one of them was the addition of an 8-way blade!

  • Hey Tom: Just started cutting wood again. Will put that new 8-way to the test.

     So far,so good

  • Even better if add 8 way blade ^^

  • Just add a 4 way blade and you will have a great machine. Good job

  • Thanks, Since I posted this video I've made many improvements. The new wedge moves up & down with a cylinder allowing me to split in half, 4 way or 6 way.

  • My son and I would bury you in your wood pile with only a wood bench and a good 55cc chainsaw

  • Is that all cut split and loaded on the truck?

I do this and I'm not tired at the end of the day.

  • @ gr8antone: You're a moron if you think that two idiots killing themselves all day long is more productive than one person standing there getting more work done by pulling levers. Way to compliment the guy on making his own processor too btw. Idiot.

  • I was hoping for more pictures from you on this machine of yours . But now your famous I m guessing you got to busy signing autographs ( just joking ) Mark here Markbuilt

  • is that chainsaw chain running when not cutting? if yes, your hands were too close for comfort! be careful!

  • No its stopped

  • I made a processor and am using a Husky 253 for cutting and would like to go with a high speed Hyd motor like you're using

I've been looking for the motor you mentioned but can't find the Webster M077YC anywhere

  • Wow, what an awesome invention! You are Amazing!

  • Sweet machine there. You must sale wood cause i know nobody can burn 100 cords a winter in their home??Did you build the machine yourself?

  • how are you oiling your chain on the saw?

  • Hi: I'm using an electronic fuel pump along with a needle valve to regulate the flow. Also talking to other forestry friends I found out that if you dilute the bar and chain oil with 4 parts hyd oil to 1 part bar and chain oil you would have a light mixture that the fuel pump could handle.

So far I have probably cut close to 100 cords and no problems.

    Rick

  • wow thats a nice machine. ive been figuring out how to make one myself. the part the stumps me is the hydraulic saw. can you show a close up of the mounting and drive. thanks

  • If you send me your email I will send some pictures. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was on vacation.

    Rick

  • hi nice but why not one more knife so you can cutt 4 pieces instead of 2..you save a lot of time whit that look at my homemade ..reg fergu65

  • Thanks, There have been many improvements since I posted this.

I now have a wedge that moves up and down by a cylinder. I can split 1/2, 4 way or 6 way. Just ran about 50 cords through it.

    Rick

  • I like your creativity. That processor looks very nice. I see how the ram drives the bar to the log but how do you power the chain?

  • I'm using a high speed hydraulic motor.

    Webster M077YC

  • Thanks, I'll check them out.
