You can also use asdw to move around an 0 to shoot. B is for the bomb as well. I find it useful to switch between hands when one gets tired of firing. Sadly I can only get silver so far. Takes soo long to do this achievement and if you die after 40 minutes.. you gota start allll over :(
Just watched my bro do this with ease, didn't lose a single life and only quick tapped the space bar near the end. Just get the plasma and keep up 2 sentries as much as possible. Bombs didn't get any points as far as I can tell. Gl to all attempters :)
Grats, I just finished up too, I gotta say I don't know if it's "easier" with the side missile upgrades or not but when I got it with side missles, I got it near the beginning of the 3rd time through the 3rd mission... level 9?
You get more kills because of the spread, although it is harder on bosses.. maybe? less damaging but at least it hits while you dodge around. Every mission was complete with 95-100% of all enemies killed per level from drones + side missiles lol
@farnahm1 oh yeah, also at one point my finger cramped so i ended up hitting the bomb button twice while there were no enemies on the screen haha, super cramped up... funny to think about
I'm just glad it's done, good old touhou gave me practice for this =P or rather, this is much easier than touhou haha
Bah I was playing this for the fourth time and my highscore was 400,000 :( I really want to get this achievment for my bf >< My wrists hurts now. Also I only tap with strong enemies and bosses. And always go for 2 drones and plasma (with upgrade).
Why did this have to be part of the campaign achievements :( its the last 1 i have left.

Yeah I did the achievement with side missiles, too. A boss encounter takes a little longer but you kill way more trash easily.

the BEST way of archieving gold, in an easier way is to use side missles with drones.
get drone and side missile upgrade in lvl 1 and for all the next upgrades, just wait till they shift to bombs.
side missile->drones->plasma->bomb is the way they shift.
once you complete lvl 2 you should have around 20 bombs, which should make everything easy(REMEMBER: bombs can be used to destroy projectiles!)

wow you did good, I can only get to level 6. HINT: Tapping the spacebar shoots faster then holding it!

@LaSepultura you'll get points much faster if you kill all of the enemies. rapid fire drones kill everything on the screen.
