i shot my dads 92 but the slide is siver. its weird because i grip the gun normally and the shells eject in my face every other shot. it does that for my dad and my uncle too.

They are not bad pistols at all. I just don't want one since I carried them in the Army. They are very reliable but in my opinion not super accurate. Beats a Glock anyday.

@jaronwells13 Can't stand em. Yes the XD is a lot for the money but I just don't like plastic guns. I tried em and they just don't feel right. I prefer Sig p229's for tactical use, Kimber 1911's for accuracy and my Ruger GP-100 for carry. Average self defense shooting is 2.3 shots fired. My 6 shot revolver is just fine and I do carry 2 speed loaders. Therre is lots to choose from in the firearm world. Whats great for one person isn't for another.

I realy like Sigs, they are worth the money.

@Rangerfull3 It's definitely your limp wrist that interferes with the gun's cycle. Every gun, and i mean every gun will jam if not held properly. Beretta 9FS is one the most reliable gun on this planet. I bought mine new - inox - and i've shot about 3k rounds and i kid you not i have yet to experience any problems with it and sometimes i used the shittiest ammo money can buy but it ate everything with an ease.

The steel guide rod is after market you can get it from beretta.com.....it adds a bit of weight to the front which I think is good for the overall weight. It also can help with aiming. When I have the polymer guide rod in the pistol, my initial aim has the front sight too high than the rear sights. With the steel guide rod my initial aim has the front sight usually even with the rear or in some cases the front sight is a tad low.

I got the Taurus pt92 version and fucking love it.. Shit is accurate as balls !! Kills my 1911 in accuracy.. The thing I like with the Taurus is they use a steel guide spring rod opposed to the plastic rod in the beretta's.
