You can get a Blade 400 with radio for about $460.00. I have one and bought it because the hobby shop I go to said it was a good starter heli. They told me to not get the Blade CP Pro as its not as good as the 400. They also steered me away from the Trex 450 (which they sell) just due to price of a starter heli. All in all they said Blade 400 was easy to fly out of the box heli. So far i can hover...thats about it. :)

I just bought a Blade CP+ its only my second heli but I will pick it up soon. I was referred to the Trex 450 and am wondering if once I get really good with my CP should I get a 450 or what? I am still new to this sport so I need some guidance anything would help thanks.

Spend a little bit more time on your CP and go for either a Furion, Rave, or G5. Maybe the Trex 450 Pro(v3) will match the performance of the newer 450 class helis, but the earlier models are on their way out.

What they are not telling you, is that this guy has no job...he sits in the field and awaits the gods of R/C flight to download tricks into his head. This has actually been caught on infrared video. The cap covers up the alien device planted in his head as a boy. The glasses hide eyes not unlike those of the Terminator. Hard to believe that's a stock heli. I admire your outstanding flying skills. I'm still a newbie to heli's, but very facinated by them. I gone crazy and ordering new heli's about every other week. Got a T-Rex 450s RTF coming in 2-3 weeks from ebay. Is everything stock on that heli? Blades? Motors? ESC? Absolutely nothing updated? It's hard to imagine a completely stock heli flying like that. You mean it costs $1K++ . I hate to tell you this but there is a huge difference between what an ego driven enthusiast is willing to spend on a product and what it's actually worth. The Trex is a perfect example of this because in reality a Trex is no where near worth what enthusiasts are willing to paying for them. Gear heads keep prices high because their ego's won't let them show up at a Flying field with anything less then the "In Vogue Product"

This is a great heli! I have the 450 XL. Align make the best heli's. It is definately a electric brushless motor heli. If you don't believe me that electric can be that powerful then notice there is no smoke from a nitro gas engine.

to See what an RC Heli, IS capable of is a good enough reason, right? The only thing that stops actual helicopters doing this kind of stuff is that the pilot would be smeared all over the inside of the cockpit by the end of it. Same as fast jets: They can do things the human body cannot survive. Now that the human factor has been removed from the aircraft, why not have some fun? It's only a toy, after all!

Man that video is amazing everytime I watch it! Ya people have problems with the align gyro, but the GY401 is definitely the one to get, I had the Exceed G007 in there and it was garbage, I put on the GY401 and it can hold solid, and pirouette like no tomorrow! Definitely recommend the GY401!

A 'stock' SE would not normally come with a futaba GY401 more likely to come with an Align RCE 500.

Since trex doesn't come with ANY gyro, I'd say, it will fly with whatever the pilot installs. Likely a GY401, in this case.

Very few people fly the Align Gyro.

Yes, You can Auto-Rotate that heli. It has an auto-rotate hub. They actually autorotate quite well.

2. A "Stock T-Rex" can't do all that stuff.

So there's two tidbits of conventional wisdom that get shot down, and everybody gets schooled (again)that it isn't the machine, it's the pilot. Good stuff, guys.

Um, I'm not gonna coall you any nasty names or anything, but you should learn wtf you're talking about.

1) yes 450s will auto quite well.

2) go online and buy a stocker 450se (and you don't even need to get the SE V2) and yes, with a good pilot, it WILL do that. He's not flogging the bird that much. Watch him one the SEV2 or a gasser to see him REALLY get crazy. The 430L motor with a good battery has lots of guts. The new SE V2 with the 430XL is just insanely powerful. And still stock.
