when i search for sam cooke bring it on home to me original, and i found anything else but not this song i would like to say that youtube set about changing the rules of what youd want to look for and what you get.sure the original material is far better.right!
Thank you for the amazing comments!!!!..... Hey check out my channel(davidelliottmusic) and new video "I can't tell you why"..... I hope you enjoy!!! God bless and all the best...... David Elliott
you think they'd put this awesome song on the actual SOUNDTRACK. oh no, of course not. they got some sped up 2-minute version sounds like an Avril Lavigne song in comparison. Why do soundtracks insist on being inaccurate.
i would say :i dont know.if..it would be great.if not i would ask what does muhammed ali got to do with sam cooke.maybe the same lifetime, but ali honored smith for this movie.also 1+1=2..ali himself called sam cooke as the greatest of all soul singers. right!?
but the finest thing is..that some singers today use hes style and bring up songs influented by sam cooke.HA!..dont say:when a womans loves...she turns any room into a dance floor and shes hearing death peoples singing...only listen to new sounds!
@wilcox24 This film went SOUTH from the great introduction...I dont know what happened, but the script was terribly weak to me. The only thing truly great WAS the intro.
@indure08 I don't understand your comment, or maybe just can't comprehend or digest it. If you were around back then, you couldn't help but know just how powerrful this film was. Not only an all-star cast where everybody blew their parts away, but an unbelievable part of American history.. "Michael Mann" did his homework. He brought this to life, the time, era, music, as well as the significance..
@trojanluck88 It was indeed an all-star cast, but I don't think they blew anything away simply because the script was weak. I think Smith's interpretation of Ali was superb, but that's largely due to his strength as an actor, not this project bringing anything out of him. This film played like a cliche timeline versus a true story of one, if not the most, controversial and prolific athletes of the 21st century.
@trojanluck88 The musical score in this music was excellent, but the script, which I doubt Mann even had control over, was lacking to me. Just my opinion. The opening scene was so powerful, and to me, it descended, quickly, from there. I tried to approach this film from the perspective of someone living under a rock, who never heard of Ali. This film did poor of its portrayal of Malcolm, Elijah Muhammad and the complexities Ali faced, to me.
@trojanluck88 Just my opinion. This film missed it's mark on Malcolm X, Elijah Muhammad, and the complexities Ali faced...this opening intro was so powerful, but the film descended, quickly, from there. Just my opinion. I think the film could've been so much more...
@indure08 I guess we can disagree, I certainly didn't think it missed. It touched everything happening at that time, the feeling in the air, the hurt, the pain , the injustice, the movement, the war. All of these things and how they related to this young boxers life. No sir, didn't think the storyline was weak at all. This man told his life, didn't sugar coat anything. Much could be said for someone who says, if you're gonna tell my story, tell it!! I thgt overall they kept the focus on Ali..
@xterrorizinboys88 I think Soul Just search for same cooke or some old sould singer and u get a lot of this music but this is a old song in a new jacket hehe
@davidlmusic118 Hey, now way! I was trying to google for you to check you out. Thanks for letting us know where to find you. You did this little diddy good. I so enjoy it. I agree with others that it could be even better than Sam's original, and that's hard to beat! I live in Canada, ever flying this way? I'll check you out on FB, for sure!
arguably one of the best movie intros i have ever seen. did drag on a bit, but i thought it didn't get the credit it deserved! definately one of my favourites! well done mr smith, great portrail!

@palmares77 I thought the trigger was an old white lady....he was acting crazy though.....it's sad...i think he was setup....maybe he disobeyed his keepers...who knows...
@palmares77 soso.i think his death is still in rumor and generated almost as many theories-like yours- as the murder of tupac.but what is certain-however-is that popular music lost too soon one of the finest soul singers in history.
@centralcoastsoldier With the exception of MLK and ALI, all of them were killed by someone BLACK. Let's stop the madness people and be the beautiful original people that GOD made us to be.
Sure the original is better, even though the audio on this one rules quality-wise for obvious reasons. The thing is: David Elliot's version of Bring It On Home is on that soundtrack album but I was actually hoping for his version of Feel It which just sounds awesome. Is that one available at all?
How Will Smith didn't win an Oscar for this movie is beyond me.
