  • I have been trying to breed my two snakes for a year now. What is your advise?

  • can you make a vid of the babys

  • oh that hurt just watching and im a guy

  • Dont snakes give live birth? Or is it just specific snakes that do

  • @CAZZERNERY some snakes give live birth like boas, although most have eggs.

  • @stringdemon not all boas evn some rattlesnakes do also the anaconda does

  • @stringdemon no boas just let the eggs hatch in them then let the snakes free otherwise they would be mammals.I made this mistake and was told otherwise :)

  • @CAZZERNERY Snakes are reptiles and all reptiles lay eggs

  • OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • how thick and how long sahould the snake be when you breed? and how big are the eggs?

  • tic tac snake ?

  • Hmmmm... that egg looks like a tic-tac... AWSOME!!!

  • SWEEEET!

  • Which snake knocked her up? Do you have another male snake in the cage or was she pregnant the moment you bought her?

  • and women are complaining about 1 baby :O

  • is it normal for a corn to lay a clutch even when they have no contact with other snakes? the eggs she lay were all dead

  • I didn' know hey ayed eggs

  • I Got A Snake it lay eggs 18 times lol

  • ouch... thats making me hurt just looking at it

  • My corn Snake (SunGlow) has just laid 18 eggs in her 1st clutch and she is only 2 and a half years old :D

  • 16 eggs at firt clutch ? wow thats nice , i have a 3 year old female next month probabli will see some eggs even for her is the 1 clutch and i wonder how mani eggs will be , she is werry big .

  • How long is it after fertilization the snake lays her eggs? Could someone please help me.

  • i think that snake is not having a hard time giving birth

  • @deeva559 lol that was what I though to xD

  • Well done They Look Really Healthy Eggs !

    Gud Luck

  • Im curious how snakes fuck

  • same way most creatures do, they how ever do have small slits on their underbelly, wich whould either have a penis, or a vagina in it. during sex the penis whould be extended of course, they do whats called a "courtship dance"

  • this turns me on

    lmao jk.

  • Does viable mean that the snakes are dead inside the eggs ( like chickens ) ( in the description box )

  • no viable means that they are good, as opposed to the eggs that are dead.

  • @stringdemon does the egg will not hatch if you dont put in a incubator?

  • @iMartyMax

If they were dead, they wouldn't be in a Incubator...

  • @iMartyMax infertile means dead that would be a slug slugs are tan and hard ish

  • holy crap its laying horse pills! poor lil snakey

  • when I showed my sister this vid she thought the egg coming out of the snake was marshmellows! HAHAHAHA!

  • this is very cool! nice vid

  • how old was the corn snake in this video

  • TODAY i got: a corn snake ( one year old), a 30 gallon tank, 2 exo-terra caves, 2 heat mats, and a thermostat for only £20 or $40 (for americans).

Now i belive that is a bargin :-)

  • were u get it all from??

  • from my friend...he breads them and sells them to people.

  • how did u get it all for £20

  • because he is my good friend, and he had an extra vivarium so i got it cheap.

  • that is mint my baby corn cost £20 the tank was £80 with heat mat

  • Aww WOW are they fertile?? Post a video of the babies.

OMG Over 21,000 views and only 56 comments? Everyone should comment when they watch a video!

  • hey how many egggs can a corn snake have in 1 clutch

  • Nice! gratz =), What are the results? and what did u breed her with

  • i feed frozen aswell

  • how much a corn snake cost at petsmart or petco

  • about 60 to 80 bucks.

  • how about a baby

  • actually i think 60 is for a baby or 50. If u wanna get it cheaper u can adopt one or go to a retile show. They sell them way cheaper like 30 for a baby. Keep in mind though thAT U WILL NEED TO BUY all his/hers needs like habitat and bedding plus hides and braches. U r lookin at 200 bucks to buy everything u need for the snake.

  • do you have to have an incubator for the eggs to hatch???

  • how many eggs did she lay in total? and how many stayed alive? because i know sometimes they eat there own eggs. one more thing... how do you bread corn snakes? and can they bread with albino snakes? 10x btw you have a very nice snake, i am saving for one myself.

  • whne is lowest age to breed?

  • Corns usually reach sexual maturity around 2 years old.

  • no they dont! ater about 1 year!

  • how old was she before she mated for first time?

  • about 2 years old.

  • hay.Your corn snake is spectacular and beautiful.i was wondering where you got this corn snake.call me at 165-343-7874

  • Thank you very much, I too think she is very beautiful. She was purchased from a pet store in Central Illinois. If you are looking to buy a Sunglow Corn , I would first suggest calling all the pet stores in your area to see if they sell reptiles and more specifically, corn snakes. If they don't sell them, then be sure to ask them if they know who does. You may need to go through a private breeder and if you can't find any in your area, you can always search for breeders on google.

  • Hey man, I got a question.

I'm thinking of buying a corn snake.

The only thing I need to know is, is there anything you can feed them EXCEPT alive animals? But just in case my father finds a rat in a trap we sometimes put in the roof, can I feed it to a corn snake?

    I thank your help! :)

  • A lot of pet stores will offer frozen mice, you just stick them in a ziploc bag and submerse it in warm water until it thaws. Snakes will usually eat these with no problem but some may reject it. As far as feeding your snake a wild rat, I would advise against this due to the possibility of disease. The only other thing I would say is don't feed your snake live prey! they can bite and injure the snake, always pre-kill the mice or buy frozens, you can also feed them live anoles (small lizards).

  • But when I warm the frozen mice, will they still be dead, because I once saw a vid putting gold fish in a very cold liquid (forgot how it's called) and then when the fish were frozen they put them in room tempature water and they were still alive.

  • First after thawing the mouse you have to connect jumper cables to both the mouse and a car battery, I recommend doing this in a cemetery late at night, but you must say an ancient voodoo spell for reanimation and then...... OF COURSE NOT! I'm just playing around, but seriously they are killed before they are frozen and will remain dead after thawing them. The point was for them to be dead before feeding the snake, so is to prevent the mouse from biting the snake.

  • You should never feed your corn snake live mice, the mice might damage or injure your snake in attempt to flee.

A lot of pet stores offer frozen mice of different sizes, (depending on the size of your corn). Do not give your corn wild caught rodents, as stringdemon says, they are full of mites and diseases!

Frozen mice are bred in a disease free laboratory, where all the mice are clean and when they are the right size, well you know what happens next.

  • i love snakes but my mother dont. i have always wanted a corn snake

  • my corn snake layed 6eggs 2 day there in the incubater any tips?

  • Buy a good book, I suggest Barron Books. Just make sure humidity is good and there is a good moist, water retaining substrate. Other than that, just make sure the heat is good. Best of luck to you.

  • THAT LOOKS LIKE IT HURT! :P

  • dang it im a gurl and i didnt realize it

  • mmmmmmmmm.......yummy lol just kids! :)

  • Sounds Good Thanks!

  • My Corn snakes were just breeding last night.so I plan on breeding again in the following years but can you tell me how long after the male fertilizes the eggs does the female coran snake actually lay the eggs?

    Thanks!

  • After the snakes mate, the female usually goes into solitude for about 60 days. Make sure that during this period you give plenty of water and offer a meal every week or two. After the 60 days there will be a noticeable increase in her activity and she will search for a good spot to deposit her eggs. Experts say that the snake will shed exactly 10 days before laying her eggs.

  • when the snake layed egg wat should we do anyone know? cus my whip snake just lay eggs.

  • The eggs are going to need to be incubated, I suggest picking up a book on snake husbandry.

  • oh i feel bad for the snake. thats big eggs for such a small opening. poor snake. :(

  • @sims2fan14 lol. childbirth.

  • will cornsnakes inbreed?

  • yes

  • awsome display

  • 16 eggs! did you keep all the snakes?

  • How did u get this ffotage?right place at the right time?

  • I came home from work and noticed something white poking through my fake plastic plants that I had in the terrarium, there was only 1 egg at the time, so I had the chance to see the other 15 be laid. Overall it took our 12 hours for her to deposit all of them.

  • looks like a ballon comming out

  • kinda gross but very interesting! great video

  • I don't want to get my snakes probbed but I just noticed the other day that my grey corn snake has plumped up in size quite drasticly in the last 2- 3 weeks, was wondering if you could tell if she is pregnant or not ?? thier my second to newest video.

    I would realy appretiate it

  • Corn and Rat snakes normally mate in the spring not the winter. A gravid corn can be hard to tell because of their slender bodies, but a Vet can perform a sonogram to be certain. When a female Corn is ready to lay her eggs, she will become very active and circle the cage very frequently over the course of couple days, until she has found an ideal site to lay them. Since the sex of your snake is unknown, I would ask what your feeding regimen is, because it may just be overfed.

  • never more then once a week but usually I wait 2... unless they look like thier hungry and hunting. they are approx the same age

  • the "hypo" red corn (fire) had ticks/mites when I first got him from the store... which I figured had somthing to do with it's slow growth, but that was like 2 years ago. I figure he's just a runt.

    thanks alot

  • I would suggest letting nature take it's course. If they are going to mate expect it in the spring, if they don't mate after 2 years they are probably the same sex. Although I highly suggest going to the Vet if you are at all serious about your snakes, at least then you will be able to determine their sex and then you can give them suitable names :)

  • please don't diss my animals names... I picked them for a reason and they are very suitable.

can I ask how long they carry thier eggs for ?

  • Most reputable pet stores that sale reptiles will have a set of "probes" on hand and usually someone who is experienced in the procedure. This sort of thing is usually done free of charge if you ask and if they don't offer that service, they can usually direct you somewhere that will. You could just place them together and as long as they have reached sexual maturity and are of fairly equal length, you have a decent chance of them mating in Spring time.

  • "Probing" is the most reliable method of sexing subadult and adult rat snakes. When gently inserted into the hemipenal pocket of a male, a lubricated probe will slide smoothly back seven to twelve subcaudal scale lengths. If the snake is a female, the probe will only insert from two to four subcaudal scale lengths. If the probe is of incorrect diameter or is forced, injury of the snake may occur.

  • Did the eggs hatch as mine didn't due to hatch on aug 2007.

In incubator 1st clutch and second in shop all had yok not fertile tho.

  • they look like giant tic tacs!

  • I'll leave it to the experts I don't want my snakes hating me eternally for that :P

  • wonderful video! I've never seen that before! ^_^

  • How do you tell if an adult snake is male or female?? I have two snakes and no clue what they are!! But they seem to have the same looking thing near the tail.

  • There are a couple ways to determine the sex of a snake. The "thing" near the end of the tail is called the vent or the cloaca. The most effective way of telling sex is by probing the cloaca with a special small lubricated metal probe, depending how many subcaudal scales it goes in determines sex, this method should only be done by a trained professional (Pet Stores). The other way is to count the number of subcaudal scales but this method is not as accurate.

  • take good care of the baby snakes!~_-

  • kewl

  • good vid i too am waiting on 14 eggs and shot a video of them being laid. Great timing to actually see the whole process. Check my channel

  • the first egg looks lovely, round and white :D

  • Ok substrate to use but you should really be providing her with a lay box.

  • nice eggs man...

i have 18 eggs soon to hatch

    nice vid

  • well, I read you arent supposed to use that, but I might be wrong

  • the one your not suposed to use cypress or ceder aspen is fine.

  • well when you come home from work and see a few eggs lying around, it doesn't really give you the opportunity to use the "proper" substrate.

  • cute but is she pooping them out?!?!

  • that is very sweet... This is off subject but, I think you used the wrong bedding for your snake.

  • I use that same stuff (Well it looks identical to it) Aspen snake bedding... it comes in a green/yellow plastic bag, and is reccomended by millions of experienced snake owners as on of the best corn snake beddings

  • gag vomit puke...LOL baby snakes !
