  • Hey

  • Intense. I was recently listening to a woman who lived in the Amazon Rain forest in Peru back and forth so USA for 40 years. She came across a man with a severe case of pterygium after being hit across both his eyes with some long grass while walking through the Amazon. He has this for several months, to the point where most of his eyes was completely covered and his other eye was half as bad.

The Shaman of the tribe took grass sap, 2 drops a day over 2 months. Gone. But you need radiation too

  • well its a great work BUT i would add something that the GUAZE used to swab the sclera was itself a source of bleeding and if proper sponge is placed with a bit of pressure is enough while U are shaving the cornea, also its enough time while U apply Mitomycin C swab.....U will never have even to use a bipolar cautery....Keep on doing good work for Humanity

  • its a fine surgery and this method decreases the chance of reccureance. Nice work...

  • its a ood surgery. I like the skills of the ophthalmologist. Great work for Guyana.

  • Are you sure the the patient isn't going be to blind after this surgery?

  • why did not u take conjuctival autogreft ?

    would not it be better?

  • ya i always do an autograft or mytomycin C application. This surgery was done at public hospital where there is large volume of surgeries we need to deal with . Therefore, I used Mytomycin C. At St Joseph Mercy Hospital, I do the autograft, in all my cases.

The results are much better with Auograft, but are slightly longer surgeries and needs suturing and the associated cost involved.

    Thanks...

  • good work doc ....

  • hi..

it seems surgery is done in best way...it could have been.

  • Nice video... I mean, it's not nice LOL, but I have to take that damn surgery since I have a pterygium that looks pretty much exactly like that one.

Now, as far as I know, it seems that this is just the first half of the surgery, I'd like to watch the conjuntival transplant part.

    Anyways, thanks for posting it!

  • By far the most discusting thing I've ever seen... I cant believe this... shit!
