This version (electric rendezvous) is JUST Paco and Al. The trio (with John McLaughlin) also performs this in studio and while it is equally incredible, this version for me is the coup de grace.

Wrong. John McLaughlin did not play on the Electric Rendevzous album. If you owned the album you´d know this. I´ve had it since ´79.
