  • The sad thing is have my ISP's "higher package" 10mpbs down and 1up.. there highest package is like 35 down and 5 up.. there super expensive.. what do u expect from a rural provider? Really good speeds for a really small town like mine.. its nice to have DSL. Wish I could get cable for cheaper or like qwest dsl.

  • Mine is about the same as yours but my download is a little lower.

  • Hey i have a few questions. im getting the 35/35 package and i have 3 xbox's and like 8 computer will i beable to go on like 4 computer and all the xboxs at the same time and still have good connection?

  • I hate you

  • @xbox627 :D

  • loving that speed. Im on att 6.0 and it's so shtty whenever my sis uploads a couple of photos to fb, everything in the house cuts off.

  • linksys = lighting speed!

  • Not food fios lol

  • I have food and I that u get more than u pay for I had 35/35 before I got like consistent 40+ dl speeds just got 50/20 today wanna see how fast it is

  • @oshin9X This was on WiFi, so it may be faster with a physical connection

  • I have road runner lightning and its faster than this

  • i have the lamest connection ever!! 1.00 mbps down and 0.60 mbps up!! wtf!!!!!!!!!

  • way better than my piece of shit time warner cable

  • in Turkey we pay €30 for 2mb/s down 512 kb/s up.. lol u lucky hahaha

  • Mine gets 200 megs

  • hide your ip!!!

  • @pspguy4 b/c the Verizon modem that comes with fios is shit. Get a netgear and youll be getting the same speeds as this guy. The WiFi on the Verizon isn't very good.

  • @Commando295 I use the wireless router that comes with the Verizon package, its not bad.

  • @Commando295 First of all verizon installs a "Router" when you order Fios. Not a modem. The guy is getting 25 Meg because thats what hes paying for (Fios Extreme) . It doesnt matter what router you hook up. It will make no difference at all to the speed. However you cant just remove the Fios router because the Fios Tv will not work properly.

  • In bulgaria they get 100 mbps down 50 upload for only 30$ ! I have been there and its amazing :)

  • In england i pay £25 for 50 mb/s down 5 mb/s up on virgin media cable, thats about $40.

Its fiberoptic to the street cabinet so not true fiberoptic like fios, but we can receive speed up to 100 mb/s and get them full speed and virgin are trailing 1.5 GB/s.

Seems like you get hit pretty hard for internet in america

  • @thomasslaughter93 We pay 49.99 for 35/35.

I hear Europe is cheaper on bandwidth, but hey what can you do?

  • @thomasslaughter93 any data cap?

  • @abhinav7333 Technically none at all; Because of the nature of cable being shared though between 9 am and 9 pm, if you are downloading, uploading enough to cause slow down in your area they cap the speed of your line for a few hrs, but ive never had that happen yet I think thats in areas which are over subscribd untill they get the arae upgraded :D

  • @thomasslaughter93 Hey! You aren't kidding. $90 bucks here for 55/5.5 Mbps. in the UK that's £55. I wish it was a little cheaper. Being stuck with tethering from my iPhone 4 with 1.3 Mbps for three years makes me not care about the higher price for dedicated internet. Wooo!

btw, the UK would be awesome to live in for a bit. :) My uncle was stationed there for the US Air force. Looked awesome!

  • extremely fast

  • We were paying like $185, and Verizon offered about $169. I am not sure if there are hidden fees involved, it hasn't been a month yet.

  • Nice. Is the Verizon service cheaper? I'm on Cox Cable.

  • This was on Wi-Fi fyi

  • @fanfinmiami How are you getting these speeds on WiFi? I have FiOS with the 35/35 plan and over WiFi I get 23mbps down and 17mbps up. The only way I am able to get my true speed is to connect my computer directly with ethernet I get 45mbps down and 40mbps up.

  • @pspguy4 I am pretty close to the router, but that shouldn't be a problem. I can get these speeds while downstairs as well. Even the installation guy was surprised. I haven't tried Ethernet, but if you do have a lot of WiFi devices connected to the router, it can slow it down.
