Oddly enough I made one of these out of lego as a kid. All you have to do is build a large and sturdy trun-table and motorise it so that it is going the right speed. Then make a cone out of paper, fold the pointy end over a few times and stick a pin through it. Mount it on an arm that can hold the cone upright but allows the pin to rest on the record and also swing freely laterally across the record. Swith the motor on a viola! Dosen't do your records much good though!

slow dont the turning speed it will sound way better and use somthing like a plasticpin inside the cone to pick up the tracks.
