  • im fine with having laser eye surgery no matter how scary or painful, but i hate the risks!

  • So frightening!

  • i pooped myself in fear

  • technology advancement

  • lasik??

  • EEEE EEE CANNOT CANNOT.

  • MY EYES ARE BURNING WATCHING THIS AAAAHHHH!!

  • I did this surgery 5years ago for my both eyes and I am more than happy with results now.

  • okays i dont want a laser eye surgery anymore..

  • yikes

  • No eyedrops. There was a shield, sort of... more like goggles so you don't rub your eyes while you sleep. I could see better instantly.

  • I got a question! After this, did you have to take eyedrops everyday and use a shield in front of your eye when you were sleeping? Or did you see everything perfect right after, and had nothing to think abot anymore about the eyes? Asking this cause I heard it could be done at some few mins. and then it was all over =)

  • that'll be £5000 ty come again

  • easy

  • Fortunately my vanity is set to null. No-one is going to be blasting my eyes with frikken "lasers" any time soon.

  • let me know when there's a 100% success rate, and then maybe i'll consider this..because once your vision is gone..its GONE. feel me?

  • @OfficialDmack716

Hey dude, we are in 2011... don't panic

  • Comment removed

  • i want to do this even though my vision is not bad at all !!! im just tired of contact lenses and glasses :( and wanted to go with the fbi they want a 20/20 vision :( im afraid

  • how long does this realy take for one eye 13 mins? plus has anyone ever had it done but just made things worst if someone can help me with these questions it would be very apreseated thanks.

  • It hurts more when you watch but its painless when you take the operation!

  • I had this done in may 2010. best thing i ever did. Worth every penny. Absolutely no pain whatsoever. I would say dont think about it, just do it.

  • that is so disturbing to watch, or am i just a sissy. either way i have to do it, its the only way i can be complete again.

  • @ForEvaW15h1nG Being apart of a crash team (Paramedic) I see alot worse than this! Its worth every penny :)

  • what is the purple stuff they put in your eye?

  • @SG2jag that's ink for markings, so when he closes the lid again knows the exact position and that it is not distorted cause if it is, then your will have distorted vision.

  • is it painfull!! it looks pretty freaken painful evn those things holding ur eye apart looks painful!! i want to get lasik but watching all these videos about it makes me sick

  • @nattieexo doesn't hurt as you don't feel anything, The only hard part for me was to keep my eye focus on the light, Cuz the eye went black after 2 sec and the doctor kept saying focus on the light when i couldn't see it. And the smell when it's the lazer part, it smell like rotten flesh, not a nice smell at all.

But the operation is not painfull

  • @chebede789 yes then you have 20/20 vision but your eyes are sensitive for awhile

  • @chebede789 no its REALLY blurry

  • cant they just put u to sleep?

and then do the whole thing

this thing must be SUPER MASSIVE PAIN!!

  • @TheHat3z you cant feel the thing they give you shit that u cant feel ur eye anymore :D

  • ISN'T THELENS THEY CUT OFF STILL LOOSE WHAT HAPPEND IF YOU MOVE UR EYE ALOT AND IT COMES OFF

  • @nazy135 They use clamps and anthetsic in the nerves to stop any movements, It would be quite hard to move your eyes, even if you tried.

  • @chebede789 not really, your vision becomes very blurry, almost blind

  • fuck this shit

  • Hi, ive been thinking about having this surgery for a long time, im not very brave tough lol.

Im concerned about the possible consequences, how about your experience have u had any problem after this?

    i d really aprecciate your advice. :)

  • NEVER GETTING THAT DONE

  • what about the pain???

    how long does it take?

    :) plzzz answer!!!!

do you see during this procedure???

  • @angeliki1994 They drip anesthetics on your eye and eyelid before the operation, meaning that A) you don't feel discomfort from the septum (the thing that holds your eye open) and B) you don't really feel anything else being done to your eyes either.

It takes about 3 minutes per eye. You do see during the procedure -- you're awake.

  • @aaronz101 thank you so so much...!!!

    but what about the success????

  • @angeliki1994 Around 97% of people are thrilled with their results, gaining 20/20 vision, and the remainder suffer a variety of consequences of errors in the surgery, like loss of night vision, blurriness, halos around objects and so on.

My only recommendation for you is to take the surgery very seriously, you only have one set of eyes, after all. Find the surgeon with the best success rate, and don't cheap out; do this and you should be fine!

  • dude.....that surgery looks freakin gross......man.....is that prk or lasik eye surgery?? i'm thinking about getting prk surgery, but i don't want to go through that stuff.......looks like a freakin SAW movie or something......gross.....

  • Is Lasik and Laser Eye Surgery the same thing or different?

  • omg i think this procedure can make seriuous damage and i do not like it at all

  • I can only imagine what would happen if you accidently blinked.

Or they give you the wrong drug.

    Or the doctor flinches.

Or the doctor is a woman.

All 3 will probably happen if she's a woman.

    :l have fun being blind

  • @Fishy2shoe ROFL Sexict prick :D ... But really really funny :D

  • where decade was carried through this? much badly made, without hygiene none ! urghhhh

  • wow that was the best doctor i've ever seen. he is bad ass.

  • they rip your eyes to shreds and leave you to deal with the consequences DO NOT TRUST THEM PLEASE DONT DO IT ONCE ITS DONE THERE IS NO GOING BACK!!

  • @chaosstarr Rubbish! I had it done in May 2010. Best thing i ever did! Would recommend it to anyone.

  • did it hurt?

  • I am 19 years old. I had my Lasik yesterday. I was awake the whole precedure, it took about ten minutes total to do the whole thing. I was scared and not sure but the doctor was AMAZING. She definitely knew what she was doing. I was informed of all risks, and how the precedure went. I FELT NO PAIN AT ALL DURING LASIK. The Only pain i felt was when It was over maybe an hour later when I was trying to go to sleep, it burned a little. But this morning I woke up and I can see perfect. its amazing :]

  • @ashleelovesyourface dont panic if you feel your eyesight is going down again, its just like that, maybe you feel so worse for a week, but your will heal after a month, thats right you can see well at the first night, but after that your vision will be worse, and then the true healing begings, thats what my friend after his surgery told me,tell me this, how much was your astigmatism number u had?and what risks they informed u about?

  • @ashleelovesyourface

Today is my first day with my news eyes... Like you but I'm 21. Everything perfect just like you.

  • @ashleelovesyourface Can you tell us what you saw? Or did you see nothing?

  • @therealericwinner

when I went in, i looked at the clock. To me, it just looked like a white ring on the wall. I laid down on the table. She said im going to do this this ad this, everything was blurry during the operation because she has to open the flap of your eye. So you just see a bunch of colors and blurryness. Then everything goes black when they put the suction on your eye for about 5 seconds. then its over. When I got off the table, I could read the clock.

  • @ashleelovesyourface what was the risk?what doctor told you about the risks, i want to it too i have no idea how dose cost me what will be the whole procedure and the risks, i dont want to loose my eyes :(

  • @ashleelovesyourface how much was it?

  • @MASTERmw100 hahahahaha chicken

  • @MASTERmw100 dunno if you got eye surgery in the past 10 months, I've just got mine.. believe me.. you really want this :P it's definitely worth it!!

  • dont get laser vision correction. It ruined my eyes and my career. Dont trust a biased unethical money hungry surgeon to properly inform you about REAL risks ans side effects. You eyes are too important to gamble on. The long term side effects are no known. BEWARE!!

  • @EliteDefenseInc

Well I can't agree with you. It helped me a lot, now I don't have to use glasses.

  • @Lacihun1 have you looked into long term complications? No probably not. Glasses are safe. Shooting a burning laser into your eyes for vanity is not. You might of won the gamble right now but problems may still arise from the damage to your cornea.

  • well..looks like im not getting eye surgery anymore!!

  • This is fast forwarded

  • that looks painfull

  • that looked so painful .. kinda scary

  • does that shit hurt?

  • Do these pictures created by people who have had these surgeries look like your expectation of "20/20"?? The doctors measure a very narrow aspect of vision. Don't get this surgery!!!! go to visionsurgeryrehab . c o m /imagegallery . html

Take the spaces out of the web address to see the images. I am trying to save even one person from this nightmare!!! Notice really smart people do their research and don't get this?? Bill Gates wears glasses for crying out load.

  • lol crop circles on your eyeball.

  • @jdspringr07

    haha

  • did it hurt

  • Can somone explain to me what laser eye surgery does...cuz I only have one eye and ppl keep on tellin me U shood get Laser eye surgery(I fell on glass)

  • i think ill keep my contacts... plus from what i've hear this actually either messes ups a persons eyes even more or makes them very uncomfortable for the rest of their lives. but at the same time ive heard it where people love it... but like i said... ill stick with contacts

  • aaaahhhhhhhh!!!! (mccauly culkin style)

  • I love how far science has come

  • You are right!

  • omg never, ill just wear my fashionable glasses

  • ahh your eye looked like it was about to burst ><

  • that is so cool

  • hmmm why speeded it up :/

  • Am I the only one that has an urge to watch these videos without closing my eyes? lol

  • does it hurt cause im afraid of it hurtting

  • ive done this and when ur druged you feel nothing its omost hard to walk and everything is tripy. its fun and its done befor you think it is. best part is the fact thet everything looks 10X better when in the drug and when finished.

  • Your brave for having it done but fuck that im sticking with glasses oh and what are those black marks for ath the start?

  • Was that a PAPER CLIP?!?!? 0:33

  • does this hurt?

  • wats those blue things?

  • Uhhhhh yeah.....I am sticking with glasses that I am getting next week

  • I WILL STICK TO GLASS. Be SMART, STICK TO GLASS OR CONTACT.

  • I will never go for lasik eye surgery as long as I can see using glass. Never trust this doctors and machines, can be failed. After all theya are human, and machine can be down any time( even while operation is undergoing, machine can down and can damage your eye). So dont go for this type of srugery. Eye is very delicate, dont play with it. Be smart, wear glass or contact lense,...but surgery, NO NO NO

  • Ill stick to contacts

  • I had LASIK last week and it is great. I have 20-15 vision and the clarity is supposed to improve even more. It was the All-LASER Lasik; although a bladed instrument was not used, I still had a corneal flap cut. LASIK Plus is great, and Dr. Shah of King of Prussia, PA is no exception.

  • did it hurt?

  • its not safe, it ruined my life!

its actually pretty junky science and I can't believe I let somebody do a hack job on my eyes.

Docs will not be honest with you or they will not get your money.

Keon Nia from lasikmd ruined my eyes and my life.

  • @lasikruinedme then your about 1 in 1,000,000 so stop crying....I guess you can see good enough to type on youtube

  • @priya1985 how come everybody I know that had lasik will admit to having some type of side effect? poor night vision, sensitivity to sun, starbursts - they may be minor to some but everybody gets side effects - My surgeon failed me misserably when he took my money and put it ahead of my health and my vision. Lasik ruined my life.

  • I wanted to do it ... I have astigmatism , and I see blurried , i want to beable to see clear, I dont want to mess up my eyes ..

  • a bad haircut will just take a bit of time to grow out of. bad lasik lasts a lifetime. even satisfied people have side effects that last a lifetime, reduced night vision, problems with glare, dry eyes minor to serious.

  • I would never do such a thing unless there is more than 99 percent chance of no side effect.

There is 35 percent chance of dry eyes for this surgery

  • do you walk down the street? Is there a 90% chance you will not get hit by a car or stray bullet??? COME ON be realistic. Agreed, you must do your homeowrk and you must get testimonials but seriouly, check out your local laser eye surguery centres and pay attention but I am THRILLED with the results......REASEARCH is the way to go!!! Good luck!!

    cheers,

    Stephanie

  • what are the purple dash lines? : o

  • @angelistoftenshi ink, but its good for your eye of course. they are reference marks so that once they take off that top clear layer of tissue, they know where to put it afterwards. that thin layer seals itself back on, but only if it is in the exact position.

  • My only fear of lasik is getting paranoid. I get an odd paranoia when something is being held open or if I am being held down.

  • wtf .....this was disgusting!!!!

  • omg they have to dry up your eye too D:

i cant believe you have to be awake through that!

  • @Neji123idiot Why? i had it done in 01 and its nearly painless ...maby the pain of getting a shot in the arm..in and out 3-4min ..its so fast you wont believe its done...

  • @Neji123idiot

The eye contains no nerve endings.

Your eyes literally feel no pain, and the patient remains calm.

You can even get sedated if you choose to.

  • @arcarulez That's coooool :D :D

    Non of this is True!!!

Eyes of course feels pain. Try to stick your finger into your eye! ain't it hurt??!!!!!

Sir, "Benox" ,eye drops, put before the procedure, blocks the nerve conduction. then you wont feel. That's simply the anaesthesia in Lasik!!

  • @mrihavegot

It is not pain that you feel if you touch your eye lense with your hand.

It is discomfort due to the sudden change of PH and salt concentration in the tear fluid.

    get yer facts straight.

  • @arcarulez omg, you're wrong,

Corneal nerve supply is 2 ciliary nerves, most sensitive part in the whole body!!

and conjunctiva takes nerve supply from branches of trigeminal,,,

there are so many proofs ---> simply, patients with corneal ulcer experience a severe stitching pain .. try it! have yourself an abrasion and some infection and tell me how you feel.

  • @Neji123idiot You can't feel anything.

They put eye drops in your eye that basically numb your eyes.

  • the guys eye looks like a really pissed zombie's

  • Thats lasik eye surgery, in laser eye surgery they dont cut open the cornea.

  • Ouch dude what the fuck man that looks painful o.o

  • I wish they would have eye drops that make your vision get better by the day. I would pay them any sum of money for that.

  • @loveharleytower There is a practice for natural eye improvement by the day though, try the video "Yoga for your eyes" by Meir Schneider on youtube. It works and you'll reap the benefits.

  • i already the surgery today it was so fast and safe i didnt feel anything

    it was awesome

  • How can you watch the video?

  • Attention...HURT LASIK PATIENTS!!

  • prk ruined my eyes. I'm 32 years old and cant drive at night. Severe dry eyes and pain all day. This cant be undone. Don't get prk or any laser eye surgery.

  • It's a typo for Xanax. An anti-anxiety drug.

  • whats zanax?

  • is it ok to have eye floaters if you are 27? i have noticeable floaters. just wondering. thanks

  • no idea. i think they are common but I'd talk to an eye doc .

  • I'm 29 and I've had floaters as long as I can remember. My doctor said its pretty normal

  • how 's the floating? is it strong? did you hear/tried micro-lasik?

  • I'm 17, got them floaters, right now actually. They don't bother me, though.

  • Im 17 too and I got floaters, even when I was like 13. My vision is -4 n both eyes.

  • can i get like put to sleep and then do it cos im a pussy lol

  • i don't know. they did offer me Zanax, though.

  • Was it painful? Did you have any complications?

  • @yellowkiwi8 You probably cant be put to sleep because you have to focus on the laser later in the surgery

  • @yellowkiwi8

No, I asked when I got mine lol. They need you to be a awake to follow their instructions. They're not gonna wait for you to wake up since they have a lot of people waiting in line, and usually with one machine.

  • omg that looks horribly painful

  • it's not painful! They'll use tropical eye drops.

  • Tropical drops? Are those the drops they get from the rainforest? .. Only joking.

  • hehehehe, i just laughed my ass off.

  • hahahha your ass fell off hehehhehe

  • opps! it called "Topical Drops"

  • wow fast forwered must holy shitt

  • did u get the eyedrop b4 u got surgery?

  • i think i'll stick to me specs.

even with laser eye surgery, you'll still need glasses later on in life.

  • Thats not strictly true... You'll get natural degradation that will will affect your READING vision, but distance will be fine. That said, even natural degradation can be corrected now with an intraocular lens implants.

  • please tell me they put you under?

  • thats so mank

  • Did your number was +1 ?

  • holy. did you see those cornial scars when he was finished. and the strnge blue flued that started leaking a little

  • I agree I had my surgery this morning

I had to close my eyes for about 4 hours, and was very sensitive to light.when you do open your eyes tears gush down your face.after the 5 hours my eyes burn a little bit,but thats all !!!!

If you live in the pittsburgh area I highly reccommend Dr.Rom.I have been wearing glasses for 30 years.....no more

  • How old you at least gotta be to have eye surgey?

  • Its 18yrs old where I live...I suppose thats the national required mininum age.

  • dude.... did it hurt while the laser was going in your eye?

  • no not at all...you feel a little pressure on your eye thats it.I could smell my cornea burning though.

    I recommend it to everyone!!!

Its been over 3 weeks and I feel fine...no problems!!!

  • what was ure problem tho.... like why did u get hte surgery done?

  • I wore glasses for 30 yrs,and was tired of it.

  • Hey dude. Are you sure it didn't hurt??!

and can't you get drugged and sleep while they doing this? this looks so fucking horrible

  • i was about to do micro-lasik but still doubt it creates floaters. did u do deep research before doing this? thanks

  • I went to lasik plus which is national.I was afraid at first to.Its been 4 mnths now and I have no problems. You get what you pay for.dont be persuaded by the 200 an eye deal.

  • cool

  • I got my eyes done 10 months ago, after wearing contacts for 8 years. I had LASEK, which uses lasers instead of actual blades. It also has a faster healing time. My vision was very blurred for several hours but was BETTER than 20/20 within 1 day. Being free from contacts is a HUGE relief. Things can go wrong with any surgery, but if you're considering lasik or lasek, just find the MOST reputable doctor you can, who will evaluate you thoroughly beforehand.

  • Is that thing at 0:15 poking it so they can suction crap out or is it making marks?

  • It's peeling back the "flap" they cut on the surface of my eye to be able to reshape the cornea below.

  • its about 3000 pounds xD

  • I can't remember exactly, but it was around 5k, but I believe it's much cheaper now. This was done in 1999.

  • omg guys most of these surgeries go wrong so ...x_x ill stick with my soft lenses

  • how long did it really teke?????

  • Not long. The whole process was under an hour and the actual "lasing" time was around 20 seconds per eye.

  • never hurts at all and 100% success GOD WILLING

  • Does it hurt ? what are the chances of success

  • Very nice!

  • My suggestion to you is to do more research. Put it off. Learn about why wearing daily contacts is safer as it doesn't create a permanent FLAP that never heals. The problem with LASIK is the FLAP cuts the corneal nerves which causes your eyes to produce less tears, and the lasers now are linked to UV light causing permanent cell mutation under the surface. The Lying LASIK industry knows this but ignores these risks. My advice to you is this. YouTube search keywords: FDA LASIK. Listen...

  • thank you it made me consider to take this procedure
