While i am not a supporter of the EDL i do feel that as we live in a democracy (apparently!!) , the UAF have no right to dictate to peoples freedom on speach and political views. They should allow the EDL to have there protest rallies, as the people of the country have the right to choose for themselves, still as a taxpayer it very uplifting to see my taxes are being well spent on policing this, pity all the soap dodgers cannot spent the same amount of energy on getting a soodin job!!!!!

@odsall i have a job. i'm also a student. but i suppose that doesn't fit into your way of generalising when you don't have a clue what you are talking about. passively absorbing information from the media is far more lazy than what these protestors are doing. get some first hand evidence and then post something useful.
however, i do agree that the EDL should be allowed to share their views with the rest of us. but that doesn't mean we can't argue with them.

@odsall haha that's even better. tuition fees weren't introduced until after the dearing report recommended them in 1996. and, seeing as they first came into being between 1998 and 1999, i don't think you have any right to criticise students and how WE PAY. we're taking out loans while you're taking the piss.
and i think the fact that you think that i can't work on my degree and protesting (and lets not forget my job) at the same time says more about your work ethic than mine.
