Well, miracle, I checked, & you are correct so I'll change my description. But no matter who did it first or second, BLITZKID does this song best, in my humble opinion.
cool, i thought you too were 138, whatever that is, and thanks for shooting your mouth off which is the true punk atitude. keep rockin' buddy...
and stay tuned because i'm gonna see good old Goolsby with Gorgeous Frankenstein soon in cleveland. then awhile later The Misfits in weeks ahead in columbus. i'll make vids of all their songs...
Picky, picky but you're full of bat-guano, buddy. Check Blitzkid's own myspace page where they decsribe themselves as punk & rockabilly which, by definition, is psychobilly especially when Gooslby plays stand-up bass (and said 2 songs here are the only mention of Blitzkid as psychobilly at my verrry popular youtube channel). So there.
Man, Rockabilly and Psychobilly are two very different things. Ive been listening to psychobilly for a good five years, so I think I might win this argument. Blitzkid have far too much of a punk sound to be psychobilly. Ive always been confused by their defining themselves as rockabilly, I hardly hear rockabilly influence. Still a wonderful band! Just about my favorite
when i saw blitzkid last i asked if they had their upright bass to play for the show and goolsby was like we dont use it too often cuz people call us rockabilly and we are not. im not bein a bitch im just sayin! :)
You are wrong. Bruce Springsteen wrote the song and released it on the 1982 album NEBRASKA. Johnny Cash recorded it in 2002 for the BADLANDS - A TRIBUTE TO BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN'S NEBRASKA album.
Thanks, Layko, you are probably right. Bruce Springsteen bores me so I pay no attention to his music and it was my wrong assumption. Whatever. I prefer this Blitzkid version...
A Good Psychobilly band Called Guna Bats re did this song .. So Much better !! But this is not too bad ..:)

138 is apparently about violence, but I, like most people, dont really know what it means :p Sounds good

Blitzkid aint psychobilly people! THey are amazing though. If you want a psychobilly version of this, Guana Batz also did it.

I think it is one of the better songs by Bruce. But the cover version of Johnny cash is just great!
But don't panic - I really like your version, it's more dirty... ;)
