@kaishaku72 Minor key may have come to Italy from the Moors but we didn't start using it until Coltrane, Monk, Mingus and Miles needed a deeper range of expression than the major chords. Ellington toured the Middle East and came back with little, in the 50s. In the Blues scale the Minor Key was used. In fact, the Chinese scale is all the black-keys on the piano. And when hip-hop emerged, OUR instincts led us to what was HARD. The vast majority of these cats don't know or read music. Instinct guides them....that's why these cats created Krump. They wanted a harder more concentrated form of hip-hop. The music is what makes you want to BUCK.And like Americans do, they innovated and created, from thin air.
