Ok people, I finally got the trophy and heres how.

I deleted my savegame, and restarted all over. Got to painful mode and tried again. And finally got it.

Trophies are glitched. Some just have problems.

As stated before, Ive done it on painful mode. Ive thrown him clear over the hotel, I've thrown him freaking off the map and never got it before.

Yes, ReptileRulesall is correct, you must be in painful difficulty mode to get the trophy.

And, you can achieve this without tossing the mime into one of the smokestacks, you just have to time the release just right.

I find that I can get the farthest and fastest tosses using Cookie. I can easily get the trophy using Cookie in 1 or 2 tries. When I get my PS3 hooked back up, I'll record a video of it.

you can get an awesome height shot if you can plant the mime into the tallest funnel, about 2o'clock of the slingshot. theres explosves at the bottom which send him skywards.

You have to get him to fly over the hotel. I think its 100 feet up, not across. It took me around 5 hours to get total.

With practice, I was able to throw him over the hotel, even high enough to clear the green neon trees. But no trophy. Then I found that combining timing and ooching, you can get an insane throw, probably 50 feet higher than the hotel. But still no trophy. On one of my throws, I think it might have glitched, the mime shot to maybe 1000 feet. There isn't a height indicator, so I am just guessing, it looked to be about 10 times the height of the hotel. Still, no trophy. It's broken.
