Rob CAN Do Horror (Blu-ray Update/Movie Reviews)

I think that the devils rejects is much better than house of 1000 corpses. In the last half hour of House of 1000 corpses, it just felt random & It didn't make sense. But I did like house of 1000 corpses though, just not as much as the devil's rejects.

I'm a huge fan of Rob's musicwise and moviewise. I love how he brought the traditional horror film style with "House of 1000 Corpses" with that kind of "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" and "The Funhouse" style, and of course the transfer has to be one of the best I've seen. And of course "The Devil's Rejects" is amazing.

Rob Zombie is the man. I have enjoyed all of his films. Personally I like Devils Rejects better than House of 1000 corpses but there both really good. I know some people hated Halloween 2, but I thought it was great. Not as good as the first of course, but nowhere near as bad as what people say about it. One thing I love is how he always has awesome music in all of his movies. Great video!

House of a 1000 corpses sucks real bad. The Devil's Rejects on the other hand was absolutely excellent. For me Zombie is very hit and miss. Halloween remake was great and one of my favorite Halloween movies. The sequel Halloween 2 was terrible and stupid. I wanted to duck tape Laurie's mouth shut in the sequel because it seemed like every thing she said was filtered through the LOUD-BANSHEE-SCREAMING filter. PLUS the white horse BS was exactly that, Bullshit!

I watched Rob Zombie live in February when he finally came over to the UK, and he was f***king fantastic. If if ever tours in your country you need to see him, he uses old clips from horror movies, as well as the two you mentioned in his songs.

Devil's Reject was good apart from the Freebird ending. The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is a great animated movie to watch. After his tour, he's going to concentrate on his next movie, Lord's of Salem.

I consider THE DEVIL'S REJECTS a sequel because it references events that took place in HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and it is a continuation of that movie's story, though the two films are very different tonally, and are arguably belong to different genres. I've also given up going to the theaters (except for press screenings that I'm sent to) because of all the disruptive assholes.

Love House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. I think of The Devil's Rejects as a sequel to House of 1000 Corpses because it follows the first one when it comes to a little bit of a storyline with characters and you have the same characters returning. I think House of 1000 Corpses as a fun ride and The Devil's Rejects as a more serious film.

I will have to upgrade to the Blu-rays.

Honestly, I've always thought of House of 1000 Corpses was more of a horror film while The Devil's Rejects as an exploitation/revenge film with some horrific elements. Both are great films, but very different in tone. I refuse to go to see a new release horror movie in the theater at all anymore, it's a gigantic waste of money when you can't even enjoy the film for people refusing to stop talking, get off their cell phones and treating the movie theater like a giant party. Great video!

There's a two-disc DVD version of Devil's Rejects with a making-of the movie and some other extras if I recall. I have the Blu-ray as well and the picture is stunning for something shot on 16mm, good amount of grain and sharpness. Unfortunately due to being an MPEG-2 BD-25 it just doesn't have enough bitrate to really show that grain for all it's worth.
