Taken was a great movie but was very simple. It was practically a video game. Just Liam killing everyone at each level getting closer to his goal. In EoD, it's more of a thriller. Keeps you in the dark with the main character.

Yeah, it does remind you of taken and I suppose the morale of the story is, you don't mess with Daddy's Little Girl. Difference between this and Taken is, he doesn't know why his daughter was shot & Taken he knew why they took his daughter which was human trafficking. I love Mel Gibson, he is talented, very talented, which will make this movie what it was intended to be...outstanding entertainment; & action packed with an I don't give a damn attitude. Cannot wait to see this!

I don't see how this relates to Taken at ALL. I think people just hate Mel for whatever reason. I don't recall in Taken Liam's daughter being shot and killed, let alone also being a part of some top-secret agency. Nor do I recall Mel's character being some kind of ex-Special Forces soldier, either, like Liam's Taken character. Only an idiot compares the two movies. An idiot looking for an idiot reason to hate Mel Gibson.

Riggs incarnation again, similarity to Taken is solid but not too much, and action is fast paced.

Edge of Darkness is about a man who's daughter dies from being shot because she was suspected to be apart of a terrorist organization. he then goes about REVENGE on the people who killed her.
