  • Looks pretty cool. I think you should add more shadows to the characters though, it's kinda hard to see their specific movements.

  • I love it. Its nice to see fights that look choreographed rather than the hack 'n slash variety

  • whops...srry to the ppl who misjudged me im chinese...and u should kno wat japan did to chinese in world war II...im not offending japanese now because theyve done nothing wrong. its just before in the past.

  • copy that

  • wat do u mean...

  • anime is the best way of telling a story.

  • It's difficult to say and varies from person to person. I like animation regardless of origin and style, as long as I can enjoy it. I see no real difference between "anime" and "cartoon". However, I am annoyed at how far commercialists are going to say "Japan is anime and America is cartoon." I rarely get into anime discussions because such people tend to annoy me.

  • Beautiful work & I like the atmosphere of it. This is going to be awesome when completed.

    Good luck, 5\5.

  • thats cool, nice environment

  • Nice

  • I see Claire~

  • i know its not really possible with XNA but a claymore game would be much better with 3d

  • Awesome

  • Can u make hentais out of this instead xD

  • can some one help me? How do i make a game???

I Got the XNA but theres just a bunch of words

How do i make a character and How Would i make it move them i press a key?? Please send

me a message cuz i realy need help.

  • You gotta learn a programming language.

It's not as easy as you think

  • Yeah... Its almost like magic! O.O'

  • You are the dumbest wannabe noob I have ever seen. Programs don't write themselves, noob.

  • Go to the main site and look at their tutorial for begginers and that'll get you started

  • You need more sounds then just 1 clink.

  • Ok now i can puke!!!

  • Claymore game? Like those old Clayfighter games on the snes/mega drive/PC? Interesting lookin game this...

  • My game is in claymation :P

  • So this is your game,eh?

  • improve it and it might get on x box live

  • wish someone would actually make a Claymore game, not merely something based of it. Good luck on your project though, looks interesting

  • the camera needs work, its to solid.

and see if you can get some depth of field going on those layers, that would look awesome

  • Yeah, I agree about the layers. Creating more layers would generate a greater depth of the field.

But as for the camera. It's as good as any other 2D game out there, at least to my eyes. However, I have an idea of how make it flow more smoothly from side to side.

  • @TheFarthestLand Congratullations, very good work! I also agree, depth of field effect would look great (maybe no need of more layers, but the blur fx). I guess he means u can zoom in - out a bit & slight rotations, when talking about camera.

    But great work!!!!

  • for early stages the character movements look really nice

  • woow, if this keeps developing i'm sure it will be a hit. i hope this cones out on xbox 360, hehe.

  • Nice game, very nice, need an alpha/beta tester ^_^, oh and how do you get a game to the Xbox (coughhalo2modscough)

  • How to get the game on the Xbox 360? Well you need to develope the game on XNA, which is Microsoft's game development framework for making games for the PC and Xbox 360.

  • Oooooh, cool, thanks man.

  • Oh, and Claymore rox

  • whens it coming out?

  • Not any time soon. The game will take around 3 years to finish, maybe more.

  • great

  • wow. applauses.

  • actually looks kinda cool

  • characters in this game look like characters from the anime clare and teresa.

  • Yeah, the game is very much inspired by Claymore. The blue character is inspired by Clare, while the red one is inspired by Teresa.

  • One other thing I would suggest is making realistic sounds for the sword clashes. Right now, it seems like you just copied tin noises and put them into the game.

  • Ah yes, I really have to improve upon the sound. For this demo, I have spent very little time on the sound, I didn't even add any foot step sounds

  • I completely agree with you guys. I personally would be very dissapointed if the final version of the game didn't have as good animation as Guilty Gears XX. As for special moves, well all characters will be unique with a variety of their on special moves.

As for a demo rizhall. I plan to release a demo in one or two days. I'll provide a link to in the description section of this video page.

  • You definitely have the mood in there and the style, but you lack the complexity and more detailed animations that are found in other 2D fighting games like Guilty Gear or Street Fighter. Try to implement more of those things like special moves and different environments to make it more sustainable. Otherwise, good job!

  • nice~ i like your animation style. do you do the sprites yourself?

  • Yes. Everything was done by me with the exception of the music. And thanks for the feedback.

  • no prob. any chance of a beta or a demo coming soon? =D

and about what the other person said... i dont think you NEED special moves, but the way this game is looking, it would be amazing if you threw in some more complex basic moves like some sort of parry/repel function or maybe what they do to cloud in advent children often (counter a slash by jumping on the blade, kicking it into the ground, then jumping off of it to get a free shot)

  • EXACTLY!!! If you're going to make an ambitious fighting game, try to make it something like a 2D version of Advent Children. However, that may be hard to do as it's a little more complex to get those animations.

  • Not really complex, just time consuming. To make the animation flow as smoothly as that of Advent Children, you would have to develope a hell of a lot highly detailed animation sprites.

  • But look at Odin Sphere! That was the best looking 2D game that I have ever seen in my ENTIRE LIFE! At least make it on par with that, with Advent Children-style animations! People would have to play that! BTW, when do you think you will complete this game or add more colors to the characters?

  • Odin Sphere is an awsome game. One of the best 2D games I had the pleasure of playing. But believe me, my focus is highly on the animation, and it will definetly be better then that of Odin Sphere. And Advent Children is definetly one of my inspirations.

The game will take me at least 2 years to make. I really want to make the animation and background artwork look really good and that is what will take up most of my time making this game.

  • That is great to hear! I can't wait to see how you surpass it!

  • have you considered a higher frame rate? it'll definitely make the animations much smoother and slicker if that's what you want~

  • Yes, currently the game runs on 15 fps per second. I plan to improve upon the animation so it can run at atleast 30 fps.

  • nice~ my first game, i'm starting at 60FPS right off the bat. but i can afford to do that since i'm not alone, someone else is programming and such, i'm doing the graphics. good luck to you man.
