I'm selling a rare art book that details the amazing work that went into making the film, from the first pencil sketches, design and story boarding to the finished product. It's called the "AKIRA ANIMATION ARCHIVES".
I'm selling this book on Ebay. This is the only one for sale outside Japan (in Japan there are only 5).
This is a collectors item for those interested in Akira, animation design or the art of anime.
wow...thats really sad that anyone who likes something as good as Akira has no taste in music...this song is by an American based Dj called "RJD2" and it is called "The Horror" off of his debut album "Deadringer". NOTE: Please research this musician further, as well as the label he was on when this record was made, called Definitive Jux (made famous by such acts as Aesop Rock, El-P, and Murs)
Yes it's the most expensive anime ever made, frame by frame, great lighting effects. and also great story. It's the best of animes even the manga and novel the best of what animation can offer it might be old, but if u see it it looks amazing. It was made in 1988 and it's basicall the michael jackson of animes. No anime can compare to how much it sold and made.
this movie is fuckin crazy i dont really understand it much buts its awesome...i watched the remastered version recently and i rocks.....and kaneda's bike is so cool
Read the manga, download it if you have to with torrents. It didn't make sense because the douches tried to fit 6 monstrously large manga volumes into almost no time. Ignoring the fact that half the movie is vague references to plotlines that took 100 pages to explain in the manga and the fact that they had to cut out entire volumes of story, the movie was still amazing. Anyways, read the manga and you'll realise how good the story really is.
Whoa...the music is a remix of "Hey Hey" by Gershon Kingsley. I grew up listening to that song!
