Wow! That was surprisingly great video for such a dark ride! I go on it every year when I go to Florida! It's my favorite ride. I love the mirrors at the end now that they got the ghosts to do tricks! I remember when I was little I used to be scared to death to go into that room before the ride. Went in it last year and thought it was fun. I can't believe I've never noticed the hidden Mickey before! I'm so going to have to pay attention when I go in May.

I went to Disneyland, Paris for my school trip and i thought it was crap because the followin day i went to Parc Asterix in France and loved that but now i remember this ride was at Disneyland not Parc Asterix and now I absolutely remember it and love it :):):)))))

honestly, the Haunted Mansion is really starting to come together. when you think about it, theres been alot of enhancements to the ride, and most of them have been pretty great! like the new staircase scene, which gives me chills every ridethrough, constance and the new attic, which created a gruesome story for the manor, the new interactive queue, giving guests a new kind of experience before even riding, and now the new hitchhiking ghost animations! all of it is so genuis!!
this is a satanic ride, if you look at disneyland you can see that its crafted to be an evil experience providing you with the illusion of happiness. you would have to be a fool not to see the idolatry worship and the symbols within all of these images wakeup people breeding the young to accept this madness teach them some values. open your eyes and look at the messages

I was so confused because I live in LA and go to Disneyland like three times a month, then I was like wow they must have changed the ride without me noticing, then I realized it was Disney World.
i went there all alone with my parents and some friends two days before yesterday at disney's not so scary and a lady with zombie make up that was behind me i turned around and got so scared i sceamed lol

when i was 4 i when with my cousin. once i saw the carts to go on the ride i look for an exit... we opened 3 door that said exit on top... one had suppiles in it.... one had an alien in it... the last one was the real exit. he lied when he said theres not turning back.. bcause we got out.

I went there as a young kid in 1991. I was 7 years old. I remember that no one spoke at ALL, not like in this video where it seems the moms talk even more than the kids! Back then the employee accompanying us was not that strict. I remember he was dressed as some sort of vampire/ghost, and he was acting like one as well, he was not yelling at all... The woman who's taking his job here just doesn't give a damn about atmosphere! Best parts for me were the dying portrait and the ballroom part!
I've been going to Disneyland once a year since I was born, but this year, my family won't get to go. Watching this video helps me remember what Disneyland is like.

Thanks for posting this! I haven't been to WDW in 20 years and this has brought back wonderful memories. It was and still is my favorite ride-non roller coaster.

They could, but it actually is quite dark (as in creepy, not as in color) for something that was in development while Walt Disney was still alive. The body hanging in the attoc would imply either a murder or a suicide, and I have always wondered if Walt gave that the okay or if they came up with the idea after he died. Disney showed violence if it was for a purpose, like in Davy Crockett or something, but I'm not sure how into dark humor he was.
*sigh* I remember this ride when I was kid, it was quite the experience. The major difference was that everyone SHUT UP and enjoyed the ride. These days, the crowds are so rude they are more frightening than the ride itself. It's scary to see what has happened to the American public. NO respect at all.

I've been on this ride all three times I went to DW ('80 - I was six,'85 and '01). I like how they've improved this but not (IMO) ruined it by commercializing it like PotC.
@vanhalenfan4747 yes but they changed it a bit. The ghost now interacts with you like taking off your head, switching heads with you and switching clothes with you. its pretty cool. i think they were doing the construction for it when this video was filmed.

This ride was great. I was 8 years old and frightened as hell at first, but then was loving it as it went on, and afterwards felt like I was a brave person for having ridden it. Every kid needs to ride this together with their dad when they're young.
@AngryCola641 I don't know if anyone answered your question or not, but I didn't see an answer for it, so I'll reply. Disneyland's Haunted Mansion is an elevator. Most of the ride is underground and even outside of the park property.

A new horror film called "STRANGE ROOMS" has just come out. It is about a real haunted apartment in Hollywood, California. True story. Much scarier than "Amityville Horror" "The Grudge" and "The Exorcist". Watch at strangerooms website if you are not afraid
i remember yelling 'YOU AINT REAL" to one of those ladies standing still dressed in black thinking it was part of the attraction and felt so ashamed and embarassed at the same time finding out it was a real person in a costume xD

@Rw7451 It's not boring in there. Just becuase the ride doesn't go fast and go upside down and stuff doesn't mean it's boring. It's one of those things you have to be there to enjoy mostly. The atmosphere in the place is very cool, the smells and stuff like that. And you don't have to pay to ride the ride. You just have to pay to get into the Magic Kingdom. (If you aren't staying in a Disney Hotel)

They could, but it actually is quite dark (as in creepy, not as in color) for something that was in development while Walt Disney was still alive. The body hanging in the attoc would imply either a murder or a suicide, and I have always wondered if Walt gave that the okay or if they came up with the idea after he died. Disney showed violence if it was for a purpose, like in Davy Crockett or something, but I'm not sure how into dark humor he was.

*sigh* I remember this ride when I was kid, it was quite the experience. The major difference was that everyone SHUT UP and enjoyed the ride. These days, the crowds are so rude they are more frightening than the ride itself. It's scary to see what has happened to the American public. NO respect at all.

@JoshuaTaylor well, i heard a little girl, and she was talking loud and i only heard about one other person talking, haha(: i think she was just excited, maybe it was her first time on the ride and was so fascinated by all the decorations. yeah, i heard some other people talking and being obnoxious, but you never know their experiences before the ride. Maybe someone was having a bad day and then the other guy was saying "boo" and tried to get them to be happpy (: you never know!

I've been on this ride all three times I went to DW ('80 - I was six,'85 and '01). I like how they've improved this but not (IMO) ruined it by commercializing it like PotC.

@vanhalenfan4747 yes but they changed it a bit. The ghost now interacts with you like taking off your head, switching heads with you and switching clothes with you. its pretty cool. i think they were doing the construction for it when this video was filmed.

This ride was great. I was 8 years old and frightened as hell at first, but then was loving it as it went on, and afterwards felt like I was a brave person for having ridden it. Every kid needs to ride this together with their dad when they're young.

@AngryCola641 I don't know if anyone answered your question or not, but I didn't see an answer for it, so I'll reply. Disneyland's Haunted Mansion is an elevator. Most of the ride is underground and even outside of the park property.

A new horror film called "STRANGE ROOMS" has just come out. It is about a real haunted apartment in Hollywood, California. True story. Much scarier than "Amityville Horror" "The Grudge" and "The Exorcist". Watch at strangerooms website if you are not afraid

@Rw7451 It's not boring in there. Just becuase the ride doesn't go fast and go upside down and stuff doesn't mean it's boring. It's one of those things you have to be there to enjoy mostly. The atmosphere in the place is very cool, the smells and stuff like that. And you don't have to pay to ride the ride. You just have to pay to get into the Magic Kingdom. (If you aren't staying in a Disney Hotel)
