I was there that night, was pleased I finally got to see him before he called it a day, though let's hope he'll be back. I think he quit just a few days after this gig so he was obviously keeping a few feelings inside in the interview (his sign-off letter was slightly more emotional!)
Talented fella, still not quite understand why he quit so drastically. Why not lean back a little from dj'ing and nightlife. Have some fun in the studio.
He got his demons to fight i guess. Love and respect to Domu.
A true legend in my eyes. I got so many domu tracks but only a small percentage of his discography. I'm still collecting!!. Lets hope he changes his mind and starts making music again.
@Ldnzoo he was caught in a catch 22 - clearly his compositional output was more important than his DJing but he never seemed to be given that opportunity to make a career out of it .. it's a shame, he was one of the absolute masters of broken beat with so much jazz. Indeed, I hope he can find a way back.
That was my sonic entry. Domu man, Im saddened by this.
Kind regards and thankyou for your sound offerings.
31 yrs old - Your ready to go BOOM!
I mean Madlibs best work is still ahead of him, Dilla....(Nuff said) SA-RA, Prefuse 73, Jazzanova, Fourtet has just put out another quality sound and Silhouette Brown just bloomed once more!!
Domu is bogus for shitting on Dnb like that

@xXxXFoolehCoolehXxXx, @lafly, the track at 1:30 is Sweet 'n' Sour - The Crusaders.
there's a tribute version by Simon Grey, wich is also very cool!

Anyone know the tune that starts around 1:30, after he talks about not necessarily needing to be a "serious" DJ?
