It's brilliant, makes some damn good points, religion and law should not mix, its outrageous that the beliefs of one section of society should influence the lives of everybody else. In the end though it's a fun video, people shouldnt overreact to it and get all defensive.
I totally loved it too. But I think it's somewhat fallacious. At the federal level, abortion isn't going anywhere no matter who's in charge, and I doubt gay marriage or 'assisted suicide' will swing one way or the other either. Both parties want to keep these 'wedge issues' around for election years. I'm 100% against religion in gov't, but aside from those, there really isn't much bible pushing. Not where I live anyhow.

It's brilliant, makes some damn good points, religion and law should not mix, its outrageous that the beliefs of one section of society should influence the lives of everybody else. In the end though it's a fun video, people shouldnt overreact to it and get all defensive.

I totally loved it too. But I think it's somewhat fallacious. At the federal level, abortion isn't going anywhere no matter who's in charge, and I doubt gay marriage or 'assisted suicide' will swing one way or the other either. Both parties want to keep these 'wedge issues' around for election years. I'm 100% against religion in gov't, but aside from those, there really isn't much bible pushing. Not where I live anyhow.

Its unfortunate what catholicism and the other denominations have done to the image non-Christians have of Christianity. While you raise points that strike the hearts of many i think you are missing a key point that is this : all the problems you are refering to are due to the flaws of men, not of God. Most do not realize that while catholicism and protestantism have something to do with Christianity; Christianity has absolutely nothing to do with catholicism or protestantism. :(
