....EAS used to come on for severe thunderstorms, floods, ice storms, blizzards, and tornadoes in my county, then one day they just stopped...I have no clue why...I kind of miss them though. I'll never forget the annoying buzzing cutting in and then hearing "Tune to channel 10 for emergency information"

I have NEVER seen the EAS come on for a Tornado Warning for television.. I hear it all the time on the radio...

@ToledoBuffVids It is rare. The only ones I have seen were for tests, and the occasional Tornado Warning or Child Abduction Emergency

@2001scoop , I have buckeye, but I do not even recall a scroll going across the screen. But man, I love how realistic this is.

Buckeye Cable has a special channel for EAS

@boobidee there is no special channel numbers for EAS.when there is a alert the cable box turns to that station.

@2001scoop I mean it takes you to a channel that has been set by the provider.

It explains why some channel appears before taking you back to the show you were watching sometimes.
