  • "There's Debbie, she's having a blast...she's wasting, half of the class!"

  • So politically incorrect, yet so FUNNY.

  • My sister...

  • Convent Class of '92 for life.

  • And there's just RANDOMLY a couple who keep making out throught the music video.

  • 2012.Feb.21 1830 (military) USA EST

    Original lyrics here:

    h t t p : / / w w w .elyrics (dot) net/read/ j/ julie-brown- lyrics/ homecoming- queen_s-got-a-gun-lyrics. html

    Close up spaces & replace "dot" w/ a "."

  • How did i get here form MCR?

  • omg my mom just talked to me on the phone and she told me when she was way younger she would burst out singing this song she loves this song so much

  • remix

  • lmfao

  • they couldn't release a song like this today

  • @dudeman5685 Correction friend! MTV wouldn't....but I bet Julie still would. muuhahahahhhaahaaaha!

  • Is that Anna Nicole at 0:16

  • This must be a version they played on MTV's show "Just Say Julie" back in the day when there was heavy/editing censorship on MTV. Judging from shows like "Jersey Shore", things are much more relaxed now (and so is the taste level of course).

  • She shot 18 damn bullets without reloading.

  • @Drewdudetheleg It's a Julie Brown video. Don't question it.

  • She must be talking about Johnny from the outsiders like when Dallas says "Lets do it for Johhny!" :}

  • Sounds like Leela from Futurama.

  • this is likej the 3rd version i have seen of this song lol

  • ...wow we're watching Citizen Kane in Film class and I hadn't seen it before. XD Not to the end yet, did not know the Rosebud=sled thing, adklfjalkj. OF ALL THINGS TO MENTION. And to get this song randomly stuck in my head the day we started it. It must have been subconsciouuussss adlfkjalfjla

  • man, this is like the clean version? I remember that the lyrics had some different bits.

  • Wow...someone asked what an Instamatic was and now I feel really old. Here's your answer: back in the day before digital cameras, pictures were recorded on this thing called FILM. An Instamatic was just a type of compact, easy-to-use camera (the name being a cross between "instant" and "automatic"). It wasn't actually instant since you had to get the film developed at a photomat (as opposed to a Polaroid, which really WAS instant, if you consider 1 minute of waving a picture around to get it

  • My teacher showed us this video :P

  • This was a COMEDY!

No one would even THINK of bringing a gun when she wrote this!

  • who cares about the glee club

  • An HOUR later the cops arrived?Wow. And whats an istimatic? Is it like an video camera?

  • You have to understand when something was made. Like after Michael Jackson died everyone went to defend him on 5 year old parodies. This was made before school shootings had been addressed and didn't happen so much. I still think it's awesome and funny :)

  • ARE YOU JOHNNY?!

    Epic.

  • The only reason I ever gave Julie Brown ANy attention was that she apparently liked to play with stethoscopes. But no matter your fetish, you can't stay bubble gum material forever. Just ask Debbie Gibson.

  • I thought guns usually can hold only 6 bullets? how many bullets has she shot off without reloading?? 0.o

  • Comment removed

  • back in the 80's this was tame...cool....now it's damned!

  • I use to have Julie Brown's album 'Trapped in the Body of a White Girl"...loved it!

  • rofl!! Love it!!

  • @keepitreal923 and graduated from Virginia Tech.

  • is that rick morraniss?

  • lol she went Columbine

  • This is my all time favorite of Julie. This video is kind of Bittersweet for me. All the shootings after this. I actually went to Pearl High school. But that was before the shootings there.

  • I know. I should not be LOL but...

  • What the fuck... Even if this was in the eighties... this is just sick lol

  • I like the song, I just wish I could find the original version on you tube. But I must ask..... Who's Johnny :-P

  • @jackdoe83 look up "homecoming queens got a gun" then click the one that specificly says "Home Coming Queen's Got a Gun (Unedited!!)

  • @jackdoe83 Julies Got It On Her Youtube "JulieBrownTV"

  • @jackdoe83 I'm Johnny.

  • Hey they changed the words didn't they?

That part is missing about how everyone was in such a good mood, it was like the whole school was totally coked. And the other part where she asks Debi if she's having a really bad period.

  • @zoics1 YOu are right. I remember that part. This was from the 80's.

  • @zoics1 jesus, thank you, zoics1. I haven't heard this song in 20+ years and I was beginning to think I'd forgotten the lyrics.

  • @zoics1 this is the edited version so it cuts those parts out

  • I really want to be Debi for halloween lol. I love this song.

  • Sorry to be Donnie Downer, but this was more amusing before Columbine and Virginia Tech.

  • Is this Meatloaf?

  • Starts out in a 50's style sound, leading to an 80's was creative and comically dramatic.

  • LMAO "the entire glee club was gone.... No big loss." Should take Debby over to Fox :D

  • @GeneralG1810 Exactly what I was thinking.

  • still one of the best laughs,,, hats off tgo Julie !!

  • soon as mtv came on music went all fuck

  • I think we have a Hinton Reference there.

  • Why did they have to change the line "It was like the whole school was totally coked or something" ... oh.

  • Can I say something tacky? If the two gun men from the movie Elephant and the Homecoming Queen were in a gunfight who would win?

  • "Stop Debbie, you're making a mess

    Gunpowder's all over your dress

    There's Debbie, having a blast

She's wasting, half of the class!"

  • This reminds me of the songs in "A pup named Scooby Doo" xD

  • it was xjvdVSDFv dhvhefvuhdvudvbjdkxzncxkjxnxzbjxznczxjnxzkjNjsvfsaHKvbjkkzxnjnzxkjvssdnvsdvbsVKHKCFbkvcsBVkczXBkxzjvbckjBvZXkzbv

  • She killed for Johnny 5.. That Robot was like Charles Manson I tells ya!

  • I love the couple who didn't stop making out throughout the video lol.

  • worring about being suspended what about juvie and summer school exspelled

  • the nerd is my favorite [girl one any way]

  • i think it's hilarious how all the stuff about jean-wetting, getting coked, bad periods, etc. had to get censored out. I didn't remember it being so non-P.C. back when I first heard it!

  • @mrchuckmorris Yes, they had to censor out all that bad stuff, but a mass-murder at school was just fine!

  • 1986 & this black (honourary) bitch was on it! Bloody bollocks to all the wankers that disliked this regal symphonic work.

  • Thanks Julie for making the 1980s more bearable. Great video!

  • Seriously? The cops arrive AN HOUR LATER?!?!?!?!?!? lol what lazyasses.

  • Seriously? The cops arrive AN HOUR LATER?!?!?!?!?!?

  • "An HOUR later, the cops arrived..."

    An HOUR??

  • I did it... FOR JOHNNY!!!!!!!

  • @ln401yt Outsiders Refernce? I think so

  • justine bateman and justin bieber ummmm....... i think i see a similarity here

  • Whos Johnny?? Answer me Debbie!!

  • This brings back so many memories!

  • First heard this on triple J. And then we were singing this at school for weeks.

  • Stop It Debbie your embarassing me!! Everybody run..Debbie's gotta gun!

This video proves the 80's wasn't all lame...

  • The best part... "So I ran down and I said, in her good ear..." That part always gets me.

  • Is that Will Farrell at 2:41 minutes as the cop? I'll bet it is....

  • why change the lyrics

  • Why change the lyrics? Not cool

  • who's johnny?

  • @AbsolutMassager why johnny the homicidal maniac of course!!!!!!! XD

  • really they brought tear gas machine guns and even a chopper to take her out but all the need was 1 bullet wow police epic fail

  • "And I said -- in her GOOD ear -- " SICK!

  • Not only does she have a gun, but it has to be a semi-automatic given the number of shots she fired.

  • "Stop it, Debbie! You're EMBARASSING me!!"

    This song is priceless.

  • I began writing "High School Shooting Musicfal" just as an excuse to use this song. It's about two kids seeking acceptance in their quest to blow up the school.

  • OMG ROFL@1:09

  • There was a fantastic Star Wars parody using this song which thanks to the corporate wet blankets at WMG has been lost from Googletube.

  • LOL!

  • altered lyrics

    slightly

    dr demento version different

    that reminds me

  • PAUSE AT 0:36! LOOK AT THE CARD ON THE FLOWERS!

  • I'd have never thought she was such a good shot! I should have been nicer to her...

  • Love u and u help me get through my weird hormones. Bless you!

  • wtf

  • PONYBOY KNOWS WHO JOHNNY WAS.

  • OH MAN. Who's Johnny?????? F it, that's going to bother me for so long. And I'm really glad that good music was made, even in the eighties, when all the old people were alive =D love. -15

  • Used to be so funny, now it makes me ill... what happened to our world????

  • She was SOOOO HOT as the gym teacher in "Clueless" (1995)

    Wubba Wubba Wubba!

  • This video was made over 20 years ago..when school shootings didnt happen every other year! People seeing this for the first time will be VERY offended. I saw it when it debut on Mtv, it was funny then........

  • @68dreamer2941 MUSIC STILL ON MTV!

  • I had to watch this in my gender studies class...

  • Damn I miss Julie Brown!

  • Although it's a "cleaned up" version, this is s pretty gorgeous print of one of my favorite music videos of the eighties!

  • That's NOT funny school shooting really happy ppl DIE...

  • This brings back so many memories :)

  • I had a crush on Julie(my friends sister) when I was 9! Ahhhh Catholic Grade school. I love your work and am amazed at all the talented people you have worked with....before anyone else knew they were talented. Great songs and great writing on all your stuff....movie, tv, etc. Good luck

  • Love ya Julie, I still have the cassette of this album. Hysterical!

  • man that gun has no kick to it

  • What a terrible video and song

  • @MountMarcyNY : Obviously, it wasn't done in YOUR time. This was hysterical, and brilliance all at once back in the day! One of my all-time faves hands down.. it NEVER gets old. ( I love you, Julie Brown! ). It just cracks me up: in MY home town when this was released, it hit the air for 2 days and was 'banned' as being violent and graphic. Now you can see Britney Spears hoo-hoo live and up close on MTV and no one cares. What a crazy world - and a waste of genius! Long live Julie Brown!!!

  • Columbine!!

  • OH! That RUNNER UP is HOT!

  • aaaah, the innocence of the eighties, where a video like this could be seen as what it is, just something goofy. You'd be shredded now for making something like this, either for inciting violence, or just plain being insensitive...

  • @ajaolander Goofy is always capitalized which every true Disney fan knows.

  • Why can't I find this video uncensored? The lines are, " I was so excited I almost wet my jeans" and " The crowd was cheering, everyone was stoked, I mean it's like everyone was totality coked or something" What is posted is the sanitized MTV version of the 80's. I love this video. Please will someone tell me how to get video uncencored. Thanks. Randocam1. Good seeing this one too.

  • @randocam The Supreme Court is all about obscenity. Let's start a letter writing campaign to the Supreme Court reporting this censorship. And pretend we are all lesbians.

  • You wanna know what my mind shot to when I saw this video for the first time? Addams Family Values. :'D

  • @GracefullyExpensiveK You are SO my tribe, surfer dude. Let's put that movie all over Youtube -- Surfer, Dude. How can any youtuber understand Booty Call unless they have first seen Surfer, Dude?

  • Julie Brown is just amazing.

  • It was kinda a relief because we had a big test next week. Hahahahah

Also, "drop your gun and tearra

  • who the hell is johnny

  • camp in a good way.

  • 7 people got killed by the home coming queen.

  • everybody run

the home comming queen has got a gun!

    lol

    this song is so weird...

  • It just occured to me, reading the other comments, that we could *never* get away with performing that at a high school now. No way. I spent the 80's in 'Bama public schools and remember them as uptight and homophobic. But we also could get away with phoning in a bomb threat on the first day of spring-so we could all go outside. You'd go to prison for that now.

  • Ha! My drama department peformed that for our high school lip sync contest in 1987. The entire drama department (about a dozen girls) and our friends. I was Julie, my friend K. was the homecoming queen, and for fun we put up a banner saying "homecoming 1969" with "69" in red letters. (We were kids.)

We got third place-I think the fake Beastie Boys beat us. Granted, they did stay in character all day. Some of the teachers were Very Offended. (Alabama hs teachers-easy to piss off)

  • WHO THE FUCK IS JOHNNY?

  • What are they trying to say when they're giving donations to the cops?

  • They need to make a parody of this awesome song,. Everybody run, rthe vice president's got a fgun. Everybody run, the FORMER VICE PRRRESSIDENT'S GOOOT A GUUUN. Cheney smiling and waving his gun, picking off hunting pals one by one, oh no bush's oil just blew to bits, oh no wolfowitz's head just did the splits. God the vice pres's on a shooting spree, stop it cheney you aim poorly. How could you do what you just did, you aimed for a moose and hit a kid.

  • they changed it

  • When Julie Brown's music video was on MTV in the 80's, school shootings were not as common as it is now. This was a fun, silly song that did not cause controversy 25 years ago. But even Julie had to pull this song out of her concert programs around 1999, 2000 and in the last 8 years because of Columbine shooting and Virginia Tech.

  • What happened to everyone getting totally coked??

  • The new version Julie did a few years back was pretty good too.

  • Comment removed

  • Eee, I love this song! Only problem is that now my sister keeps singing the edited version and I have the original.

  • my best friends on a shooting spree

stop it Debi your embarrassing me!!! best line LOL

  • @animepug: That one is great. I also like "She aimed and fire and now the math teacher's dead/It's really sad, but kind of a relief/I mean, we had this big test coming up next week."

  • I can't believe she couldn't say "are you having a really bad period???" in this video!

  • In a way when i watch this vid i get a queasy stomach.

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this vid. :)

  • So this is what we can blame for all the school shootings...

  • Eek! I love you Julie! Please don't think I'm just a stupid fangirl, because I'm not, but I love your comedy! X3 Most female comediens annoy me, because all they do is bash men, swear and talk about sex, but you actually use your brain and appeal to both audiences, plus you are so pretty! Well, this little rant is over, stay awesome, Love Kaylee. ^^

  • The Lryics have been change.... WHY

  • so julie- Which ones are your mom, your brother and your hunky boyfreind in the video ?

  • I know! They muted the sound! I have to find out why!

  • Whenever I make a mixtape with this song I invariably follow it with the song "Who's Johnny" by DeBarge. I HATE the song "Who's Johnny" by DeBarge, but it always gets stuck in my head once Homecoming has ended...

  • God, I love this vid. Hilarious !!

  • The original version was much better, but this is still some pretty funny material. I love the hand stealing tiara at the end. Epic song.

  • I like the original one Better

  • LOL. Great, my favorite shows, Buffy and Glee, were killed by the damn homecoming queen.

  • what her name Janie too? coz I swear that bitch is everywhere!

  • EVERYBODY RUN......

  • Haha, Debi reminds me of Mello from Death Note<33

    Haha:3

  • LAWL

  • Oh man, Julie Brown is fantastic! Even if it is censored, this is hilarious!

  • Those cops need to llk up what a 'warning shot' is.

  • 4:32 "Just to evil to die, aren't you JUSTINE BATEMAN?!"

    hahaha How did she know?

  • ahhhh the 80's good times good times

  • they changed the lyrics...lame.

  • @abaderp1967 MTV made us make a censored version. I'm going to put the encensored version on my other channel, juliebrowntv, in about 2 weeks! Subscribe so you'll see it!!!

    xoxo

    julie

  • @Kielan2154 Weird- the video on juliebrowntv doesn't work or come up in the search...

  • @Kielan2154

    The censorship is ridiculous

..... I hope she did not sell out with outher things. And what does MTV have against periods?

  • @Kielan2154

Wow... MTV forced censorship of this video/song for airing on their nework... then in the 90s they went and aired the cartoon Beavis & Butt-Head, which had things that some would argue as worse than ANY of the lyrics in this song ever were.

Corporate contradiction, why am I even surprised?

  • *network, not nework.... I gotta get myself a keyboard that isn't broken... >_<

  • @Kielan2154 I am so glad this song won an Oscar.

  • @Kielan2154 Funny that MTV wanted to censor that the school was "coked" and about a girl having her period, but it was okay to show the homecoming queen blowing everyone away. LOL What a perfect song.

  • @Kielan2154 Is it true you've done stage hypnosis?

Love this song, btw. Don'[t think it would have been released today though.
