  • I guess everyone forgot that Social Security isn't on a sturdy foundation but hell since we are already screwed let's make it big.

  • I also here people mention how well its working in Germany. good for them. If you ever desire good Governmental health care you should move there because with the halfwits we have in office that won't happen here. If you desire seeing Government fuck ups go to the Library of congress. It happened before that jack ass Bush and everyones messiah Obama won't do much better.

  • ya let's quit asking for charity. It's so much better to demand it and have the government collect it. The Government should pay for everything healthcare wise. The Government of Cuba does and you know all the liberties they are afforded there. It's a very free state. This debate isn't about the little people so why exploit them?

  • tracysman2328 - care to show some evidence of your assertions?

  • Well Medicare is broke and that is a government health care program. And they are talking about those of us who do have health care that we will be taxed in order to help pay for the health care that others do not have. Seems simple. Give up your health care and not have to pay and get another government handout.

Look at Canada and Germany........they are prime examples of Govt Health Care and how it does not work.

P.S. The Armed Forces has health care!!!

  • Medicare is broke because of the Bush tax-cuts to the rich. Also Germany and Canda are prime examples of Govt Health Care WORKING. Dumbass

  • I seem to be missing your point. After watching this video, are you saying, "I got mine, screw everyone else"? Are you saying that simply because there is any government involved, then it is automatically a bad option? Did you even hear the lyric saying, "I'm not looking for a hand out?"

Do you realize that you are already are being taxed by the cost shifting that is happening with health care premiums and co-pays? Are you insured by your employer that allows you to stand on a soap box?

  • Yes I took a job that pays for all my health benefits, also, my college, and I retire in 3 more years with 40-60,000 of college money as well. No matter what degree I hold. I can also transfer that college money to anyone in my family as well. I guess some just make better choices than others. And I only pay Federal Tax every other year. I do not pay state taxes

  • This seems to be dripping with sarcasm.

I can legitimately tell you that health care premiums are keeping me from hiring more employees. As a small business, I do not have the economic leverage it takes to negotiate with insurance companies like the government or corporations. So, really, it is not about choices, it is about what options are realistically available.

Also, some people have more options than others when it comes to making choices. Laid off people can pay $1k per month in cobra.

  • A little slow on the uptake here. I get it, you are in the military. If so, I appreciate you and thank you for your service.

  • I wish I could see people like you on TV spreading the word instead of the planted insurance workers acting as "concerned citizens" at the town hall meetings getting so much undeserved attention in the mainstream media. PS I was slow on the update as well reading the post from tracysman2328. Joining the military, while noble, is a risky proposition and one I would never want for my son.

  • In convenience stores and local markets all across America you can find donation cans asking for spare change to help defray the costs of health care that some local family can't afford. There is no more poignant illustration that the health care system in the US is terribly broken. Tell your elected officials that we need a public health care option, the same way we have public schools. But the costs should not be borne by tax-payers--they should be borne by the industries that make us sick!

  • Ebenezer Scrooge was asked to donate to the poor. He said

"And if they would rather die, they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

He was obviously a conservative before he was visited by the 3 ghosts. LOL!
