I also understand how incredibly easy it is to change the contents and details of articles. But Wikipedia would have people working for them to make sure all of its content, to the best of its ability, was accurate.

@oxonvids What's wrong with Wikipedia? I mean, I know it gets a bad rap for its inaccuracy, but the pages I visit (including the one about Santa) are most probably correct. I've even contributed stuff to Wikipedia. Why? Because I'm a knowledge nut and a stickler for getting things right.

well this commercial is just SUPER sweet. i remember even my dad really liked this one (actually, we really liked it together, we're the Christmas freaks in the family). i love that it's like they just took one of the old classic Coke ads and brought it to life.

the guy who did this commercial for Coca Cola was a Swedish/American artist named Haddon Sundblom. he made Santa red and white because that´s what Santa looked like when Santa was green in America - and still looks like.

Actually, the image of Santa Claus we see today existed long before Coca-Cola ever thought to use it; Thomas Nast created it, then there was the poem "Twas The Night Before Christmas". Coca-Cola wasn't even the first drink to use the image, but it WAS Coca-Cola who made it famous. Seems like you all fell for the "urban legend" of Coke creating Santa. You don't believe me, check Wikipedia.

Actually, when Nast wrote about Saint Nickolas he was talking about a small elf who could literally fit down a chimney. The image of santa claus that you know now was created by an artist named Haddon Sunblom in his own image.

Coca-Cola did not create santa, but they made famous the RED AND WHITE look, before Coke, the santa costume was green, not red. Coke made santa using the colors from what they sell. and the comercial was so famous that the image of Santa changed forever.
