very good riding. ur instructor sounds really nice. horses can be quite stubborn when they want to be though. good job at being persistant with him even though u fell at the end but thats okay it just shows that ur a real rider. everyone who rides falls. if u havent then u havent riden long enough. :)

This horse I ride always does that, but I've never fallen off her.

But once I did at a show on a 12.2hh pony, and I could have won, lol

@chachahorse please take your comments elsewhere because they are not needed here. the reason why she counted to four is because that was how many strides i should have gotten in the line. so clearly you dont know much about riding if you couldnt tell that. i dont care how your instructor teaches, but i can tell you that jenn is a hundred times better. i do not need your comments on my page, and i would appreciate it if you stop this right now. thankyou.

The instructors pretty rubbish, she couldn't even count in 3 strides, and she had 3 attempts!

what the fetch chachahorse! How on earth could you say an instructor is "rubbish" just by the way they count? All the instructors I have had counted in 2's. I prefer it that way. Your instructor might count in 3's but the doesn't mean thats the only way. So why don't think before you comment and stop trying to find faults in others. Think positively. you will fund you are a much happier person.

Whatever she was doing it wasn't helpful. Five strides out, 1, 2, 1, 2, and then another stride she didn't count. Then the next time she counts to 4. wtf? She might aswel have just shouted random numbers.

@chachahorse Strides aren't that important anyway. Lots of pro showjumpers and eventers don't bother. I remember watching a program with Oliver townend and he doesn't both getting to fiddly with strides. It's all about feeling

i have some critique..just make sure to keep your leg a little more back. and heels down a little more.

Ouch, glad you were ok.

Can I suggest not riding him in a standing martingale whilst jumping, when he needs to stretch over a jump it's going to prevent that and can cause injuries and nasty jumps - especially as the jumps get bigger.
