  • omg can't you say this, this, this, this, this are metal

  • @E430c no

  • @TacticalM4 i have noticed

  • do you suggest using the lipo battery or a normal ni mh for this?

  • @B52Stratofortress1 if you are using the box in the front of the gun as your battery storage, the lipo is a great idea because of the energy you get from a small package. But in my case with the battery in the back I trust the nimh a little more.

  • Can Someone Please Help I really want to take this gun apart, but dont know how please help?

  • @IDONrya I do want to put a video up to show anyone who wants to take it apart how to do it, this gun is a little hard to dismantle. I will try to get something up within the near future.

  • what type of battery is best for this gun? and also what is the fps??

  • @notsostupidsniper Fps is around 400

  • @submit2520 out of the box it will be in and around that velocity.

  • @notsostupidsniper It really depends, if your keeping the gun wired to the front maybe some type of lipo battery for optimum performance, but I have it in the back so a large 9.6 does the job quite nicely.

  • @airsofter431 working on airsoft rifles is very tricky and unless you really know what to do things can get out of hand and expensive really fast. The easiest way is to buy a wire set, prob the one by systema for Ver 2 gearboxes, the one that wires to the back. Then you need to know how to open the gun and take apart the mech box. There's a couple good videos out there, but they still don't tell you everything.

  • @SanttuTheSuomipoika Not to big of a battery can go in the PEQ box, maybe a mini or nunchuck

  • Looks great, but a smaller barrel would be nice.

I dont think u can get smaller with SRC, can you?

  • @iiTOMz yes you can, they have a model with a 10.5in barrel

  • where did you get this

  • @911airsoftdude I got it at Evike

  • How do I rewire the battery to the back? Is there a way to put it inside the gun?

  • @shooter930414 there is no room inside of the gun for the battery, as for rewiring it to the back its bit of work and requires a deep understanding of how the rifle is designed

  • Do you know by any chance which company's magazines are compatible with this AEG.

  • @DrewMC36 so far a lot of mags are compatible, i have a couple echo1's, classic army should do fine, jg mags, most of them work

  • I bought the SRC 416 from 007 Airsoft, it comes lipo ready but I find when I am shooting the rifle the pistol grip gets warm...hop up is really hard to get to...when you cock it you have to pull way back to access to it...then you have to push the cocking handle forward to close the bolt, won' t reset on its own when the cocking handle is release...other then that it is nice rifle

  • @qklee11 the grip gets warm with my 9.6v battery, its normal, the rifles aren't meant to be shot on full auto for long periods of time either, more bursts like a real weapon. As for the bolt, what they did was make the receiver closer to the dimensions of the real deal so the bolt sits tight up against the body, i know.. it sucks.

  • @qklee11 i am thinking of buying the same gun, does the battery store in the stock?

  • @B52Stratofortress1 Unfortunately since it is a crane stock, you can not fit a battery in it. I wired mine to the back, but otherwise you would have to use the peq box for your battery storage.

  • i want the short barreled version :P im not so much into the long 10" barrels but let me get this straight the battery is connected to the side of the gun?

  • @The1wHoOwnSu08 It comes with a PEQ box that gets attached to the rail, so on the side or top, either way the weights in the front of the weapon which makes it more of a burden and increases your draw time. If a ten inch barrel is still too lengthy you may want to look into something more like an MP5 or a sig 552, they are more CQB oriented systems.

  • @The1wHoOwnSu08 Look for the SR-416 k Gen 3 it has a smaler barrel.

  • Hey, can you please tell me if Element Crane Stocks will fit on this gun's buffer tube, because i want to replace the LE stock with an Element Crane one. Will they fit??

  • @TaZ101SAGA Thats a good question, after market stocks are designed to fit on most buffer tubes

  • I gonna buy this one

  • no real problems with it, just the wiring isn't the best, hop-up and bucking aren't really great either, I put a systema hop-up and bucking in it

  • no, the bolt doesn't cycle

  • Gear box is metal ??

  • damn straight

  • @Randy420layhee Its an amazing gun I just bought it...The ROF (rate of fire) is pretty fast and i winded the high-cap magazine for it to the top and it kept on shooting for atleast 30+ seconds straight before winding it again.

  • i just got this gun and thought how you wire the battery to the back?

  • there are videos on youtube that show you how to mess with the gearbox and play around, otherwise you just need a soldering iron, some wire, and connectors

  • does this src have a split gearbox?

  • its a normal version 2, the top does not split from the bottom

  • nice video :) thinking about gettin this gun as the 416 is one of the best rifles going and the taiwan companies seem to be producing some rele good stuff :) a few questions though, does the flash hider unscrew and what thread is it? and where are the front sling mounts cause i havent been able to find an image where i can pick them out clearly :/ thanks :)

  • it comes off, 14mm ccw thread like most other guns, and there is a loop on both sides of the front of the gun

  • is this the RIS II D16 or something else bcause i ordered the RIS II D16.

  • the barrel is 16" instead of 14,5"

  • is this a really good gun or some shitty gun from some poor factory?

  • Its a good gun, some things are better than others just like with any other gun. The only few things that really bothered me about this gun was the wiring, the hop-up, and the hop-up bucking, everything else about this gun was excellent.

  • i just have to ask: how comfortable is the pistol grip? my echo 1's is kinda boxy and cuts into my hand

  • The grip is very comfortable, you can just buy a new grip for your echo1 if you want.

  • i want it

  • Nice. I think that is a good choice apart from VFC

  • This gun being stock... is it a good gun?

    Any problems?

  • It's funny, I just got mine and when i recieved it the bushings were chipped and the hop up bucking wasn't even there and the spring was already broken in which i did not find that cool. So i put a m130 in it, all new steel bushing and systema hop up bucking and it shoot good now. Your lucky yours was not crap.

  • sorry that happened bro, shoulda called up who ever sold it to you and told them to send u a new one

  • I keep hearing that it's a bitch to disassemble. Did you have any trouble in this department?

  • It is a little different than most airguns. The body of the gun is closer to the dimensions of the real gun so its smaller. You cant just pull the upper off the lower without causing some damage to the switch assembly. It is a proses that can be a little difficult.

  • i once had a dboys hk416 and it was terrible. since you've had this for more than a year already, i wanna ask you how has this gun been for you this whole time?

  • its been good, I mean its far from stock now. I have done a whole host of upgrades to it but some of the key components are stock and they still work fine. The motor, gears, switch assembly, bushings, cylinder, and cylinder head are all stock and perform very well. The gearbox shell has been replaced once, and will need to be replaced again soon but that's normal.

  • Comment removed

  • when it was stock, how long did it last you until you had to replace stock parts? Or rather, how long do you think it would have lasted until you had to get into the gearbox and replace stock parts. Also, were you implying that the gearbox shell wasn't very strong?

  • All of the parts are fine, the only problem was the thin wiring which I replaced myself. The gears are some of the strongest I have seen, and everything else is great. The gearbox shell has to be replaced every 50,000-100,000 rounds, that's a normal life span for a shell if your running anything bigger than a m110 spring.

  • does the RIS wobble?

  • No, the ris only makes contact with the upper receiver and the barrel is free float which makes for an extremely stable rail system.

  • damn, now i want one...

  • The gun will put out around 360-380 with the installed spring. The only fault I found with the gun when I first got it was the small wiring.

  • hey this is a great review it helped me a lot on my purchase and I am very happy with my 416. But I think you got the battery box wrong. its not a PEQ style box but a VITAL box but other than that this is a great review!

  • I am glad that I was able to assist you.

  • I have the same smart charger as you LOL. But for real, nice review. I think I'm going to wait for the Magpul PTS ACR though for a next gen assault rifle.

  • Thank you, the masada looks like a nice next gen gun too.

  • is the battery connector a large typ or small type??

  • The stock battery connector was a small type.

  • Can u please explain or put up a video of how u wired the gun to the back please? Would really appreciate it, just bought one of these n i need to change the wiring. Cheers

  • I will try to do so soon, college has been busy though.

  • google it.

  • "It also comes with your instruction manual, which is... good"

"Just like the real 416 it comes with a fake gas piston system right here"

Haha, good review. I think some things you could do to make your reviews more informative would be to not describe things like "This is the battery i use". "This is the unjamming rod". "This is the manual". etc. And focus more on build quality, shooting the gun, balance, accuracy, build details < you covered that one nicely.

    Overall great review.

  • hahaha, thank you

  • 3 things, is this gun lipo ready? and i'm getting the charger u had, so could u go could you go over the specs for me and tell me like what all comes with it, how to u charge the battery, and anything else about the charger i should know before getting it,and finally u should do a shooting test for this gun, i'm sure i'm not the only one who would like to see how this beast of a gun can perform with that huge battery ur using for it. PLEASE RESPOND! THANKS!

  • it IS lipo ready, but if you are don't buy the charger he has. Get a charger that charges specifically Lipo batts. if not, with this charger, same as all, just plug and wait, it will do the rest. gun shoots around 410-450 fps for the long barrel, 390 for CQB length. Accuracy is comparable to that of Systema weapons. If you have any questions send me a pm

  • no, the rifle does not come with a PEQ battery.

  • a very nice review, thanks now im sure i am going to buy that gun.

  • learn proper English

  • I don't understand your poor English!

  • Hmm... no punctuation?

  • Hmm... Still no punctuation!

    Many people must hate you.

  • lol!

  • You fail at life.

  • best gun ever.... best internals... only down side is the ugly PEQ box and the pistol grip is too tight for the motor... but got a Crane stock installed on mine..... and also a Magpul PTS grip ....

Over all, got the preproduction model, and the barrel is a 6.03 tighbore, and the internals are just awsome!!!!!!

  • how does it compare 2 the AGM full metal version??? jus wondering cause i want a 416 full metal gun

  • I have never used the AGM model so I can not make any assumptions. From what i can see the TSD has better internals and possibly a nicer finish on it.

  • yup, the TSD/SRC one has a aluminium body, and a anodized finish, while IMO the finish on a AGM would be potmetal....

  • u live in jersey right?were do you go airsofting at?

  • I usually just play in the woods by me, but sometimes we have night battles in Alair state park when its closed.

  • this video is just on this particular model.

  • No problem, just remember to check if the company is going to sell you the production model w/ the M120 and tight-bore barrel!

  • FUGLY SCOPE!

  • I have never used a classic army, nor have I seen them up close. But I have used some full metal tokyo marui and ICS and I have to say the externals are just as nice if not better. The paint that they use is nicer than most because it gives a realistic Finnish and is scratch resistant. The materials used are also very precise and realistic.

  • I to have tried to remove it, I think it may be welded on or some other treatment that would prohibit it from coming off.

  • Hey are you getting problems with your pistol grip overheating after around 50-60 shots have been fired?

My battery connector and pistol grip have been getting damn hot and i think it could be that a wiring could be smaller gauge than usual.

It could be due to only firing on Semi-Auto

(new zealand law) but i dunno

  • The wiring is a little small but it shouldn't over heat after 50-60 shots. It could be because you are only using semi-auto since the motor has to start fresh for every new revolution it makes instead of having one constant flow of energy.

  • badass gun, but im getting the crane stock one, and is it a good idea to put a Systema M150 Taper Spring (500~550 F.P.S.)? anyone who knows plz plz answer back!

  • Thank you, I would not really recommend a M150 unless you plan on doing further upgrades to the gun, but you can probably use a M130 in it. I still prefer the M120 though.

  • your welcome mate, but what if i putt the m135?

  • The M135 is typically a M130, so its good. With that extra power though you might want to consider a larger voltage than 9.6v or a more powerful motor, and better wiring for the most efficient energy transfer. Feel free to ask more questions, I want to help as much as possible.

just one question though, You do know how to work on the gearbox right?

  • yes, i surelly do, but i think im gonna leave that stuff alone for awhile but im getting the agm full metal 614 so yeah i do,

  • Do you know were can I find the user manual, because the postal service stole me the manual and the magazines!

  • You can Email the company you bought it from and get a new manual and magazines. When I got mine they only shipped one mag and I Emailed them so they sent me another one free of charge!!!

  • Please help me!

    I already buy my own SRC/TSD 416, but I can't open it!

I tried to take down the lower reciver pin and pull the upper but it's impossible it doesn't open like an M4, the I tried taking down the 2 pins and pull the upper receiver and it slide 1 or 2 inches and that's all.

  • ok,the gun is really nice, but did you ever try a Systema PTW weapon?

you can't compare a systema with an SRC,not that they aren't good, but please, don't compare this gun with a Systema...

  • I have never used a Systema but I have witnessed them in action. they are faster but I can just put a systema motor in my gun if I wanted to.

  • oh also nice review, awsome gun

  • were di u get it and how much????

  • The Gas piston system is not straight.

  • Nice rifle!! It seems real!! 5 stars!

  • Thank you!

  • Yes, you have to open the gear-box to re-wire it.

  • Can I use a crane stock on it?

  • You can put any type of M4/M16 stock on it. Solid, LE, Crane, or marine. but if you are talking about having a battery in the stock as well then you need to re-wire the weapon.

  • Ok, that's what I'm gonna do, Is easy to re-wire the gun?

    Thank you

  • Its easy if you know how to work on the gear-box, but if you know nothing of the gearbox then don't mess around with it.

  • My relatives just ordered this for me for Christmas. I can't wait for it to arrive!

  • Hey, do you have a acount on Airsoft Retreat?

Any way, i'm thinking about this gun, but i've read a review that said that the rifle he got didn't come with a M120. Now this has me a little worried because his review was under the supposed Gen. 3 model. But since you have the preproduction; how much did it, or was if you modified it, shoot? Because he stated his was only shooting 180. I know its ridiculous but still. If you can ease my un-sureness much appreciated

    Thanks

  • I don't believe that I have an account on airsoft retreat. The pre-production before I modded it had a M110 in it and that gives it a good 350-370fps. E-mail your supplier and ask if they are selling it with the M120 and a tight-bore barrel. That's what the regular gun should have already installed. If there are any more questions feel free to ask.

  • The production model should have a M120 spring and 6.035 stock tightbore barrel pre-installed.

  • Great review!! I am relatively new to airsoft and dont want a gun that requires a lot of maintence, beyond the normal cleaning/ oiling, but also has good accuracy because I am a Designated Marksman for my team. Does this gun fit those paremeters and where did you purchase yours? Thank you very much and once again GREAT job!

  • tru that, great review. i was interested in this, but because of the price, i was scared away and bought the JG version :P

  • it wasnt the price that scared me away, it was the fact that Airsoft GI a company i completely trust said it would be a better investment to get a G&G, and i did, with a M203, hurricane sight, ics silencer and ics laser peq box, as well as 10 100 rds mags and 2 hicaps and 2 60 round grenade shells

  • Airsoftgi is where I pretty much get all of my airsoft supplies. It is a great site, but the review just states how I feel about the weapon.
