All of best engine manufatorers have tried and came to the same conclusion ...Mack had the E-9, Cummins had the 555, Detroit had the 8v92 and CAT had the 3208 V-8 diesels don't last.

Alaskan2424 you haven't the slightest fucking clue as to what your talking about. Anybody who knows anything about diesels knows that Cummins engines are known for the durability and longevity. If a Cummins engine broke at 45k miles it'd be operator error... and Cummins doesn't make the trannies dipshit.

Search a little deeper and you will see all the problems that Bus Companys and other Med. Duty trucks are having with the Cummins. Not to mention all the 5.9l blocks that are cracking. Cummapart for sure.
