Vodafone struck a deal with HMRC [Google for the news reports if you won't take my word for it]; the exact figure is unknown, but the deal most certainly did happen. Even Vodafone aren't denying it - all they've said by way of defence is that the figure isn't £6bn, so I'm not sure why you're so keen to defend them, especially when they have a history of tax avoidance [cf the tax avoidance case in India]. I advise you to read up on the case before you assume the right to criticise.

Re: your comments on physical appearance - surely you realise that ad hom insults are the last resource of those who have no substantial criticisms to make? I'm actually one of the protesters in this video, and have worked (and paid my taxes) for ten years; I'm not sure what makes you think you have the right to assume otherwise? You might want to learn not to judge a book by its cover: piercings and employment aren't mutually exclusive.

I called Vodafone last Friday to let them know that it is because of their tax dodging that I am am ending my contract with them (they also dont recognise trade unions and there are question marks over their behaviour towards their workers in South Africa who have attempted to unionise).
They are a disgrace and the Tory's and Lib Dems letting vodafone off the hook while mercilessly punishing the most vulnerable will not be forgotten and it will not be forgiven.
probably all students form oxford who dont have jobs or pay any taxes........but agree with the sentiment
