there's been a lot of talk about guys like Siu Tafuna and JJ Autele. JJ Autele is a D-1 recruit.

A lot of White players are just as big as Polynesian players.

Have you watched any of the games the past 3-4 years?

They just choke. If you have two of the most highly recruited players over the past 5 years in the state- and you DON'T have a size or speed disadvantage- shouldn't you walk away with some hardware?

lol no...punahou is still pretty small on both sides of the line where size matters the most. the average like 220 on the DL and 230 on the OL and thats the biggest they've had in years. What is Kams? St. Louis? Kahuku? heck Pac-5? the corners are all like 5'8 and the LBs apart from Te'o are definately under 200 lbs.

personally I think Punahou hasnt been so good at football because of the ethnic breakdown of its students...you cannot deny that Polynesians are bigger than haoles or Asians in general. thats not being racist, its just a fact that everybody can plainly see. It is also a fact that the vast majority of the punahou students are not polynesian but are white or asian. thats why they excel in sports where size doesnt matter (wrestling, track, basketball, baseball,water polo, tennis,volleyball etc)

yeah they've been recruiting polys but in this recent resurgence most of the play makers are not polynesian. brett kan is asian, kyle whitferd ,jay angotti,john overton, sam higgins are white,drew uperesa is poly but he wasnt recruited...his family has strong punahou ties. 3 of those guys are playing D-1 fb and a few more are d-1aa. maybe another 20 or so are in d-3...most of asian or white decent.

so really...manti te'o is the only poly player making an impact (albeit a huge one)
