I've heard this sung by both Nicholas Stenning and Harry Sever of the Winchester Quiristers, and that's how I prefer it: sung by a boy from an English cathedral, college chapel or parish church choir. This boy's voice is quite untrained but he does give a nice clear natural rendition. Not much emotion to go with the words though.
