this prayer is called MANGAL-O-STUTE(in Marathi Language), means (a pray of prosperity, happiness, victory).

MANGAL means something "GOOD" happening

and

STUTE mean from the "Mouth"

Tamils and non-Tamils alike in India were concerned about the humanitarian situation affecting SL Tamils. And yes, Tamil politicians did make pro-LTTE statements, but they are politicians trying to appeal to an extremist, fringe vote-bank. But the Tamil people of India know that the LTTE was the enemy of SL Tamils.

well said. i mean no offence, but muslims are even a smaller minority than tamils in SL but they still live fine. i don't get why these people think tamils are getting mistreated. sri lanka is the only country in the world where tamil is an official landuage. 60-80 million tamils in india. they get nothing.

Actually, Tamil is an official language of both India and Singapore as well. As an Indian Tamil, I can say we have nothing to complain about.

Anyway, kudos to the Sri Lankan military and your president on getting rid of a ruthless terrorist. Now I hope President Rajapaksa shows the same resolve in formulating a political solution that can ensure lasting peace in Sri Lanka.

I'm glad to see that there is at least one Indian Tamil who doesn't support the LTTE.

Most Indian Tamils don't support the LTTE, which ensured that the IPKF failed in the 1980s so that they could keep their hegemony over Sri Lankan Tamils. They also assassinated our Prime Minister on our soil.

I don't think most Sri Lankan Tamils support the LTTE. They have suffered the most, being used as human shields by the LTTE terrorists.

The Tamils who do support the LTTE are exiles in the West and have no idea of what they are talking about. They have no idea about the inhumanity of LTTE

I've heard in the news that a lot of Tamils in Nadu are putting pressure on the Indian govt. to put pressure on Lanka. I'm aware of the assasination of Ghandi and the rejected truce brought forward by your Govt. I hope you're right about Tamils in SL not supporting the LTTE, sadly you're right about the Tamils in the west supporting them.

Even now, any concern expressed by India is for the humanitarian situation and our wish that Sri Lanka reach a political solution where all her citizens have freedom and equality.

Inequality and lack of opportunity was what led to the rise of LTTE in the first place. Now we urge President Rajapaksa to match his success on the battlefield with equal success in the political arena.

I have visited Sri Lanka once. It is a very beautiful country with beautiful people and I wish it lasting peace.

the next thing thes Western bastards try to do is cause a war between SInhalese and muslims or tamils and muslims. we have to be extra careful. they r like mad dogs because the lost a huge customer for weapons. if we dont do another war their profit margins will go down!
