  • very cool art style for this games cut screens, jazzy music but not great, sound fx are weak, and the in game sprites are good and poor at the same time. the game play feels too scared. hit run away, hit run away, the main sprite is not sure of him self. a few solid combos are needed methinks,

  • very interesting game. personally, i think the hit detection lacked polish. great jazzy music though.

  • holy moly! 45 minutes is a lot man

  • how'd you fit 45minutes?

  • I have a Director account (no time limit), although recent changes might've loosened time restrictions for all accounts.

  • This game pales in comparison to Drac X and for one thing debasing a whole systems library cause of one game is very immature. I guess he never played Gates of Thunder,Ys 4 Dawn of Ys or Bonks Adventure and if hes expecting all of America to know what a PC Engine is is very shortsighted.

  • Does anybody know if the other guy (the magician) can make long jumps? I got stuck 24:50 because I couldn't make the jump. That would be awful design if only one character can advance this stage forcing one to restart the whole game.

  • I believe that they're pretty much the same but that you have to do the jump attack move to clear more distance. It's been too long since I played this, so I'm just guessing based on what I saw in the video.

  • This was one of those games that looked cool from the stills, but was a major let down after playing it. I'm pretty sure it's an NEC AVE game, so it would fall inline with their track record.

  • Ok...seeing as how it borrowed stuff from Castlevania (Dracula X) I thought the game would be incredible until I saw the gameplay and heard the gameplay music...really, all the games on all versions of Turbo Grafx/PC Engine consoles sucked very much...

  • "all the games on all versions of Turbo Grafx/PC Engine consoles sucked very much..." You obviously have never really played the library of games for the PCE/CD system. Either that or you're a moron.

  • Actually I have and that's why I'm saying...the thing is, the better games were never translated so most of the games that North America and the rest of the world got were crap...I know it was popular in Japan but for obvious reasons, better games...

  • You said "Turbo Grafx/PC Engine consoles". If you were referring to the US system(the only other one besides the PC Engine), then why mention the PC Engine? Your statement says the PC Engine sucks as well.

  • No...I just put both names because some people instead of calling it the real US name, Turbo Grafx 16 they just go ahead and call it PC Engine, it's japanese name as you might already know...

  • Can you send me a rom or cd image of this game.

  • massivly gay im sorry :P

  • It's actually less fun to play than it looks. It's not really bad, but it could've been great with some finishing touches.

  • Might be good if one would understand the story, but seeing just the gameplay it's nowhere near the greatness of Dracula X: Chi no Rondo, or am I wrong? Is it more fun to play than it looks?

  • No problem. It may not be worth the crazy collector price, but it's still a fun enough game with a lot of nice artwork.

  • Amazing game.I never finished it, but i enjoy it like crazy. I think i will have to mount it with Daemon Tools, and fire up Magic Engine again. Thanks for the entire video bud!

  • wtf is this!? i thought i knew all the PCE games around (including those unreleased CD games), but this is new to me

  • That's because it's so uber rare. I wouldn't be surprised if some day, several crates of sealed copies emerge online, as has happened with many other games.

  • Very nice. I was never able to find this game back in the day.

  • I love the style of the artwork in cut scenes but I wish there was some animation..

  • The boy(?)'s hand scrolls upward on its own in one scene :)

It looks like a rushed/unfinished game. The artwork is very nice, but I would really like to have the cinemas cleaned up and animated with lip syncing.

The in-game graphics are really nice a lot of the time and I like the general layout of the game, but it's too bad it didn't recieve the polished and finishing touches (like sfx) it deserved.
