Actually Hamas was formed from members of 'The Muslim Brotherhood at the beginning of the first Intifada. Israel tacitly supported Hamas because they considered them at first a non military organization who could oppose and undermine Yasser Arafat and the PLO which at the time Israel considered the greater threat.

Too funny as from what I understand Hamas is nothing more then Pallestinian Revolutionaries. Take a look at the amount of dual citizenship in the white house, by saying that I mean dual citizenship to the US and Israel. I was astonished when I looked into it. Our government does nothing that doesn't support the "intrests" of Israel. Also take a look at the "rumors" of Israeli intelegence involvment in the 9/11 attacks.
