  • people that dislike this just think different i suppose

  • Comment removed

  • the people that disliked this are clearly trolls and disliked the video because they read a comment that said "0 dislikes blah blah blah", wish i could see which 2 people disliked it so i can spam their walls with abuse haha =).

  • 2 people listen to Justin Bieber.

  • 2 people don't think different

  • if you mention the mainstream on youtube, you're just an asshole, by giving the devil piece of mind he is winning, only a em cee like sub can preach on cause he has the authority to do so with his material, all you faggots got nothing to bring to the table but absorb what he says and listen instead of talking, talk about sheeple......

  • this song describes every mainstream rapper like Lil wayne, drake, eminem, etc etc because This guy just described almost every rap song that is mainstream.

  • Glass half full or half empty?

it depends if your pouring it or drinking it.

  • Who the fuck in the right mind would dislike this? Fuck you 2! Suck a dick you mainstream faggots.

  • @AliasFox1 They most likely have small penises.

  • It's fortunate that I listened to this song all the way through. It pulls you in, the comparison of one man to another and the thing is, he's not talking to anyone in particular, but the voice of what rap has become: soulless and meaningless. This is not a throwback to the rap of an age gone by, but a revitalization and revolution of what rap should become. I'll listen to this song again and again.

  • great lyrics! love this rapper!

  • best lyrics ive ever heard. every word makes so much sence

  • DAMN!!! DEEP!!!

  • an ipod without this song its a dead ipod

  • @Migas128 Good thing I just put it on. XD

  • "you fuck lil girls i make love to women"

    damn!

  • this beat iz sick!!!!!!!!! i want the instrumental

  • Ohhhh the lyrics are fixed on this video. The other video that was uploaded before had the most messed up lyrics, I almost cried from laughing so hard.

  • i glad i found this

  • 2 people run from commitment

  • The Glass is half full.

  • Metaphorical Music!!!

  • Substantial and Marcus D (Bop Alloy) Made a follow up to this song called 'Still Think Differant' which came out last year. IF you haven't heard of it then you are missing out =)

  • Sounds Like The 1967 Song "Vivre Pour Vivre"

  • 1 person thinks different

  • yo can some help me pick up my brain? i just got my mind blown

  • Beautiful music

  • No dislikes?

Thats what I like to see.

  • @Zokly581 1 dislike... probably lil wayne.

  • @Zokly581 OMG was zero dislikes until someone went blind and tried to guess where the like button was

  • Yo I got jokes, you are one

  • The best lyrics, really brings out the problems in rappers today but does not insult them, not once does he state what he does is larger than him, ingenious

  • Not to mention Substantial ripped this track!

  • Wow, it takes pure talent and genius to sample the original and make it sound this incredible. A true master of production in music form. RIP Jun Seba

  • my favorite songs favorite song

  • dang.. that's good stuff!

  • Perception = Reality

  • I just want the instrumental to this. I rather listen to Nujabes with out anyone spitting over his beat. NO DISRESPECT TO SON BUT DEAD ASS NUJABES IS SACRED TO THE EARS!

  • @DeNtheGreatest some would say they'd rather just listen to Sub rhyme and not have Seba Jun take some of the shine away from him on the track.

however, to me this is the perfect combo.

  • I wish more people could be like him.

  • ''You bust lead? So do I. Except mine impregnates the page that give birth to the thoughts that unify.''

So fkin nice. Opened mind dude

  • very motivational song, keeps me pushing in life.

RIP nujabes, props to substantial for the lyrics

  • "stop askin me that" lol

  • R.I.P

    NUJABES

  • imma go get a gun to kill the 0 people who disliked this... oh wait...

  • @toinou2706 2 dislikes.. thats your cue

  • RIP BROTHA!!

PS Be sure to check out Bop Alloy its a new group ft SUBSTANTIAL, reminds me of NUJABES

  • nujabes music really doesnt need lyrics. its deep enuff, infact these rappers, no matter how "real" they are, take away from the experience. no offence, but nujabes is to great to mix his music with words.

  • Get in yo car and play this on a rainy day.

    Best feeling evar.

  • this could be a lil wayne diss.

  • @DrynSarcastic360 or it could be a real cat talkin about some real shit. just maybe. haha.

  • @DrynSarcastic360 I doubt it I think he's addressing all wack ass niggas in general.

  • @BBoyPhreshershist yeah i think too. but this "could" be a lil wayne diss (meaning he is wack), cause he is a part of the group of rappers substantial is spitting about.

  • @DrynSarcastic360 but he is tellin the truth about wat rappers want now-a-days

y dislike him for tellin da truth

  • @DrynSarcastic360 good one

  • Accidentally had my laptop volume and youtube volume at full blast with my headphones on. Substantial overdose! xD This is the best headache I've ever had! lol

  • RIP JUN SEBA

  • i know im late but i cant nujabes is gone man....

  • "You bust lead? So do I. Except mine impregnates the page giving birth to thoughts that unify."

"I'm constantly in the mix while you walk around it."

    How fucking ill is that?

  • "You wanna be like Mike, well I wanna be me"

Damn...Substantial and Nujabes are beastly when they collaborate.

    RIP Nujabes!

  • RIP

  • "Is the glass half full or half empty?"

I never thought of it that way... Genius.

  • You fall in love with body parts,I connect mentally. With my female counterpart before we bond physically.

How true that is,people always talk about body parts and never look past the exterior. When I heard that I was like woh!How true.

  • i wanna download this song so badly on itunes, but they dont have it -_-

  • just download the song i can send it to u if ya want

  • im an MC. youre a rapper/ im as real as they come, while half the guys you idolize are just actors!!!

my mouth dropped when i heard that part

  • I like the part where he says "I call my child special, you say yours stupid"

  • wow. these lyrics are on a whole nother level.

  • @whatup253

lol.agree. i wonder why many people think rappers like kanye west has better lyrics...

  • Kanye West actually raps about real stuff, even though he does talk about cars/clothes, and other material things, his music is deeper than it seems at first, same with Drake and KiD CuDi. but others like Wayne, Gucci, and such..NO, they're like every other gimmiky rappers out there

  • @weeboluu meh Drake is a gimmick as well. his get up is so cliche now. i mean his songs in a nutshell "Fame aint what its cracked up to be, i love my haters, i miss being normal, wahhhh i want my mommy" pfft. I will admit his stuff is catchy but hes trying to hard to be modest and im quickly developing a dislike for that kind of artist. its so fake and sad how he tries so hard to appeal to people. THIS is what makes artists like substantial, cudi, and lupe better.

  • @thangQanime I don't think so. I think he raps about how he feels. But I agree, he's not as good as substantial, cudi, or lupe

  • @weeboluu pfft yea sure. thats definitely what he wants us to think. like i said hes trying to be too modest and its annoying. if his songs reflect how he feels all the time then he is definitely the biggest emo mommas boy suffering from nostalgia in the game today. he has some skill but his subject matter is completely lacking. That and he sucks up too much to wayne and nicki minaj. meh. hes not the worst (its hard to beat wayne there) but definitely shouldnt be compared to those 3.

  • @thangQanime No he is rapping about the ignorance of mainstream music and how it raps about things that are not important in life like drugs, hookers, ect and he also raps on how he wants a better world FUCK THE SYSTEM that is what is happening if you havent noticed all mainstream music is basically ignorance and underground more flow with a artist point of view he not being modest he being honest and true to the people that listen to his lyrics.

  • @ONExxthe I was talking about Drake not Substantial. Thats why at the end of my comment i said he sucks up to much to lil wayne. Drake is shit. Substantial is real talent.

  • agreed

  • beautiful lyrics

  • The Gansta Rap is ruining hip-hop, Nujabes gives a touch of color, very different from what we always hear, is the new hip-hop, and the best

  • now this is real hip hop

  • Substantial is chill.

  • Comment removed

  • dam this shit is amazing great beat

  • Hip hop, culture 4 life!

    Peace out from Mexico!!!

  • "You cats is Rap, and I'm Hip Hop."

    Nuff said.

    Deadly.

  • @Teghead um its called metaphors and similes... real music doesnt say it straight out.. read a book

  • "I call my child special, you say yours is stupid"

"My lead impregnates the page giving birth to thoughts unified"

    etc..

  • I think about it differently though. He is mocking the way rappers talk about themselves by taking their negative "haves" and replacing them with his positive "haves". You don't hear many rappers say something like "you call women bitches/ I call them queens 'cause they royal"

    just saying..

  • "You fall in love with body parts I connect mentally With my female counterpart before we bond physically" omfg beast

  • Music should be about emotions, connections, and what we feel. It shouldn't be for only our entertainment, we should get out and share it =]. Music is a better way to get something out than violence. I'm not a fucking hippie. -.-. Drugs go no where. X]

  • You're exactly right, music should be about emotions and connections. That is the main concept people in modern day society who listen to or create mainstream hip hop fail to understand about hip hop. Music isn't made solely for entertainment. It should be written/listened to on how you feel. And yes, music is a great subsitution for violence such as wars and drugs like heiroine. Yet, once again, the people today fail to understand this. Instead of ridiculing violence, they advertise it...

  • Lol those lyrics

    Carry such deep meaning.

    Its amazing.

I did notice how hip hops starting to get just like rap lol.

But this is what i REALLY

    Consider to be hip hop.

    Just like he said. :D

  • rap is something u do...its a part of hiphop

and ur wright this is HIP HOP at its best

  • That's because hip hop is a culture, not a type of music, rap is a type of music that's included in the hip hop culture. And you're right, this is hip hop at it's finest. Hip hop is dying because of many great artists today such as Nas are falling into the commercial side of rap... people on the streets struggling to survive...

  • Artists such as The Nujabes, Asheru, etc. are hip hop's life support, i hope that some day people will realize what hip hop really is, because it's not just catchy hooks and beats... It's about expression and the real things in life that matter, not like money, and bitches, but things like death and the people on the streets struggling to survive...

  • first let me just say i didnt get replied !! wtf

  • soo beats are a type of music ?

  • shit this dude is korean (i expeced from those words u would be black) since u talkin culture c-walking is part of gang not hiphop culture although it has goten really pop

  • Also, what difference does it make if I'm korean, black, mexican, or muslim. We're all the same, all human, all have differences and similarities with each other. People these days in modern society have to open their eyes and realize what they've all been pointing out and exploiting as sins and defects.

  • u are too much dude

  • Yes, I'm korean and cwalking can be and used differently. Cwalking can be a dance, but it can also be gang related. It all depends on what your purpose is. Some people use it for expression, while others use it to advertise and represent their crew. Also, beats can be included as a type of music. It all depends on how you interpret/define what the word "music" means. In my perspective and opinion, beats are a subcategory under music.

  • Thanks, jdiggityd for the tip.

  • Tough lyrics.

  • Underground is not better than mainstream; it's just different. One however, is more real. You decide.

  • If you listen to the song for 1min you realise he clearly stands out the messege: He aint better then them, he just thinks different.

  • Hes just telling his side of the story. He says wht they do, what he do. You decide wich one is the best.

  • whether you think someone is better than another or not is entirely based on opinion. Cannibals thought that eating other people was entirely normal, but others frowned on it. when you say this, you're making an opinion based on what you think is right.

  • This song is from an optimist's view.

The point that he is trying to get across through this song is that there is no one answer to things. This is because everyone has a different view on everything, no matter what it is. For example, one might think that when something breaks, it is meant to be repaired, as another might say that it is meant to be thrown away.

  • i love hip hop ,but i hate rap. this guy knows the difference

  • I aint better than you i just think different

  • i love how in the background, he says funny stuff every 4 counts

  • Freakin awsome! Its better than some of the no talent mainstreem music that you hear today. I think this song is well thought out.

  • love it. *dapz.
