I'm not tryin to insult liam oasis is my favourite band of all time, but im really curious does anyone know what the deal is really or like why/how that can happen? If you look at alot of other legendary frontmen of bands or singers their voices don't really change very much over time. Liam is only just now 36 years old which is actually still decently young!! Any thoughts as to why this happened to him/why he's had such problems with the consistency of his voice??

Quite a shouty vocal style. It must really pound on his larynx. That together with a steady cocaine, cigarette and booze habit during those early 90's years really did it. By the end of 1996 I don't think he really had his 'Morning Glory' vocals any more. I thought it was really noticable, even at the time.

I agree, after 'Morning Glory' his vocals have been declining steadily, his voice on 'Dig Out Your Soul' is just a low growl, and not very pleasing to listen to.
In my opinion, his worst album-voice was at Definitely Maybe, cause he was too young. His best preformence is definitely on Be Here Now, but Morning Glory and actually Dig Out Your Soul is way up there aswell... His voice on DOYS is fantastic!!
Oasis isn't about having a beautiful silky voice with a reach greater than Pavarotti. Oasis is about pure rock and roll, and if someone can't understand that, then they should go listen to some Italian opera and have a sip of red wine to their scones.
I agree its all about the experience. I saw them at Derby Warehouse back in 94. Liam stared us out thru the whole set. I swear he did not blink. Although, they only had 10 songs back then. So the set was a lot shorter. Check out NYC Wetlands videos. I travelled to the US for their first US tour. Wetlands was an amazing gig. My first time in New York City. Good times!!!!

yea noel helped him quit smoking and start running every day (for the time being at least haha). He's gotten a ton better, though I agree that he is shakey here. He sounds better on some songs than others, but i'm glad he's coming back a little.

Did you see during 'Rock 'n' Roll Star' when Liam came over to stage left (Gem) and threw his tambourine? All because he saw my extremely large "LIAM + my phone number" sign. But some girl pushed me over to get it. Like hell it was intended for her. We made eye contact! =] I shot angry looks at her. She hid it away in her jacket! Other than that, the gig was phenomenal! 'Dig Out Your Soul' out October 7th. Let's make it #1.
Sorry about the tambourine - that really sucks! I would say you should have fought like hell to get it but not much you can do when someone practically pushes you out of the way.
I have to say that Chris Sharrock as the new drummer works well. Its sounds lame but on the few decent kinda rockin robbie willaims songs and on the The La's (there she goes) Chris's playing is awesome, quick and nimble. Shame things didnt work out with Zac, probably because Zac wouldnt fully commit to Oasis over The Who. Anyway I think they are both better than Alan White who despite being awesome on the Morning glory album coast ed for the remainder of his albums

Did you see during 'Rock 'n' Roll Star' when Liam came over to stage left (Gem) and threw his tambourine? All because he saw my extremely large "LIAM + my phone number" sign. But some girl pushed me over to get it. Like hell it was intended for her. We made eye contact! =] I shot angry looks at her. She hid it away in her jacket! Other than that, the gig was phenomenal! 'Dig Out Your Soul' out October 7th. Let's make it #1.

I have to say that Chris Sharrock as the new drummer works well. Its sounds lame but on the few decent kinda rockin robbie willaims songs and on the The La's (there she goes) Chris's playing is awesome, quick and nimble. Shame things didnt work out with Zac, probably because Zac wouldnt fully commit to Oasis over The Who. Anyway I think they are both better than Alan White who despite being awesome on the Morning glory album coast ed for the remainder of his albums
