  • I'm surprised that the operator's tone toward the suspect didn't prompt him to become more violent, especially in the way that the operator repeatedly identified the caller ("Why did she...?" "Why is she...?") as the reason for her growing insistence that something must be wrong. A victim should never be placed in that position.

  • I like the dispatcher in this segment. "That's bullsh*t!" And that is one stupid burglar.

  • Im only 13, the sam thing happpend after my parents went out to dinner, i 4got to set the alarm, and they go in. but thankgod there was a panic button on it.

  • SHE SAID THATS BULLSHIT

  • yay for Richard!! :)

  • that first operator should stick with the prank 911 calls

  • That would be so scary.......:(

  • Exactly, unbelievable that the intruder has been lying the whole time, instead he's refused to tell the truth.

  • I have no idea what the 911 Operator's manager was thinking when she started yelling at the guy.

What if he had taken it personally and then taken it out on the woman in the house?

In training, we were told to keep the person calm so the victim doesn't get hurt.

  • If your a burgler and a dispatcher calls back after someone else calls 911, you don't pick up the phone! Thats stupid!

  • lov this he is pretty smart ill hav to admit u know others just wont answer thr phone put he answered it and acted lik he lived ther really smart srry but i have to admit that of course im not proud of him and wat he did but that was smart

  • At 5:40 it bleeps it out

  • Oh god, what a wrong choice for a patrol car. A Chevy Celebrity? For about 2 to 4 grand more, they could have had a roomier, more powerful Caprice that would have been able to haul ass to the scene

  • On Cops in Pittsburg, there were Pontiac Bonneville and Oldsmobile 88 police cars with Streethawk lightbars

  • Chevrolet actually had a 9C1 Police Package for the then "New" Celebrity up to '88 I think. Then the Lumina had one.

Don't see many of those though!

  • that lady is smart she did not open the door. if some one did that to me i wold whip out my m44 mosin nagant russian bolt action rifle and start shooting ...

  • I've noticed that you seem to enjoy mentioning your m44 mosin nagant russian bolt action rifle.

  • Haha yeah I agree.....the details of the gun is really not necessary. You sound like a little kid describing a new toy.

  • how many years he was spent prison???

  • Yeah, and what would happen if you missed on the first shot? You'd be so busy with the bolt trying to reload the chamber that he could easily run up to you and knock you out. Better go with a Semi Auto for a home defense weapon. Not saying the Mosen Nagant wasn't the most awesome rifle to come out of Russia.

  • Great give the burglar a gun. That's what usually happens when people use a gun in self defense. The wrong person is shot.

  • At 5:40, I LOVE IT!!!!!

    NOT BECAUSE!

  • you know they're on drugs when they stay on the line that long

  • ummmm...the burgler seems a little dense. it's a gunshot...how could nothing be going on?

  • That's bologna!

  • Mr. Holt was definately kicking some ass...but that nurse was a little retarded.

  • We never found out the suspect's sentencing from Shatner's narration. That's unusual, to say the least. But I'm guessing he did some time in prison, even though he only pleaded guilty to one burglary count.

  • u know how the grandpa got hurt like some blood? how?

  • but who shot the gun...the burglar?

  • No, Mr. Holt (the man who lived in the house) fired the gun. The woman was a nurse who has hired to come in at night and take care of him.

  • Man old man Holt was kicking ass lol.

  • Hey the cop car was an '85 Celeberty 9C1!!!

  • This situation could have been handled better. First of all, Mr. Holt never should have fired that gun, as it made the dispatcher even more suspicious. Secondly, why the hell did the police wait for the burglar to come out on his own? Couldn't the burglar have done more harm in the house if the police were outside waiting? The police could have knocked down the door while the burglar was still on the phone and busted him. That would have been much safer.

  • The police didn't barge in the house because they didn't know if the burglar had any weapons. If he knows the police are there, he might take the victims hostage and make the situaiton worse.

  • wen did u ever start posting all these vids and wat gave u the idea for posting all of them?

  • I started posting them about two years ago back in May of 2006. I wanted to post them because Rescue 911 is my favorite show and there really weren't any other Rescue 911 videos online. It wasn't on TV anymore and I didn't want it to be forgotten.

  • THANK YOU! Your efforts are appreciated. This was my all time favorite TV show, aired at 8 p.m. every Tuesday night. How I remember these details :)

  • in the 1st season episodes, what was the last episode that shatner states Actors were involved?

  • I think it was Episode 117 (specifically "Runaway Garbage Truck")

  • This could be a sequel to "Arlington" lol just kidding.

  • i love seen those old school police cars

  • This was an awesome episode!

The Burglar got so busted at 7:07!

I love that Dispatcher! She was tough and so clear headed. "NO That's bull**** NOT BECAUSE!" I love how she says "BECAUSE" It was Awesome!!!!!

  • what an idiotic burglar. xD

  • guessing this is the intruders first time or that he is a complete imbecile.

  • go to tvshowsondvd, com and vote on rescue 911 to come out on dvd, rescue 911 has 434 votes so far

  • Too bad Mr Holt didn't kill the piece of shit. That old man is my hero.

  • The dispatcher did a good job keeping the intruder on the phone.

  • What a WEIRD episode.... Ok, so what's the difference between burglary and robbery?

  • I think a burglary is where someone breaks in while the people are gone or asleep, and a robbery is where they come in and threaten people to give them money. I think this could really be considered as either. "Burglary" seems to be more associated with residential homes and "robbery" seems to be more associated with businesses.

  • The key thing that differentiates a burglary and a robbery is burglary is a property crime and robbery is a crime against a person. If the guy had broken in and hadn't confronted those people, it would have been a burglary. But because those victims were there and force and or fear was instilled upon them, it became a robbery. Therefore, this guy committed a robbery. This would be aggravated robbery because he injured someone and at one point held a weapon.

  • Don't forget Breaking and Entering (B and E). Probably is the same as Burglary in some districts

  • Family channel episodes edited all of the swearing. They cut a comment where CJ says "She did one hell of a job." before she said "she stayed calm..."

  • At 5:39, you can hear one of the few known instances of swearing in this show's run. The dispatcher says: "No! That's bull****. Not because!"

  • I would say there were more than a few instances. A good number of them had swearing, but they usually bleeped it out.

  • how dumb, he is such a idiott makes u surt of laf at how dumb the burgler was

  • He was a drugy, that pretty much explains it all

  • talking to 911? stupid?

  • They were talking about the intruder not the woman who called 911.

  • the burglar is too stupid.

  • thanks for sharing
