@youathoz its for intonation.... must be a fairly expensive guitar (forgot what its called though) instead of adjusting the saddles for intonation, they somehow equate the positioning of the frets, its nuts
@achilles09834 It makes the intonation much better. i guess chords will sustain better and notes will be more in tune. Steve Vai talks about them in a gear demo in greater detail if you wanna check that out

@TextEffect It really isn't that difficult. If you rate this higher on the difficult spectrum then what of things like Michael Angelo's tricks et al? You have to keep things in perspective there. All you need here are good findamentals.
