You should give plastic leaves another look.

I used them for my ghille and they work very well. I sprayed them with matte finish paints before adding them. Just make sure that they match leaves for the area you will be in, as well as color (spring, summer, fall colors). I decided to use them because natural vegitation wilts extremely fast in my area and does not blend well after 45min. Also I only use plastic leaves as a base to reduce the amount of natural veg I need by about 1/2 to blend well.

No need to answer my question, I just got 4 yards of burlap and 14' x 14' 3/4 or 1 inch "Bird" net. I went to Lowe's and i think the a bird net will work just the same as a fish net. Thanks for the help.

I made a recon ghillie (head, shoulders, upper back) for £nothing$. xD walking around one day and found 8 huge burlap bags lying in the mud and said, 'hey! some cable ties, my old camo netting and that old army jacket and I could make a ghillie!' i only used one (1.5m x 1m) burlap bag too, and got file wrap.

if you cant buy the elastics, you can get some old clothes that have a mesh-like material for the waiste, cut out the mesh-like material, then dye green, tan, etc. then attach it like he does in one of there guides
