I've got this DrumKat used with few dead pads. All I cared for was its trigger-to-midi functionality. BUT! The problem is that without working pads you can't program the unit :), so I had to "fix" it. If you follow the link in the video description you'll see the details and pictures of what and how I did.

I actually had a thought about putting the unit into a rack-box with jacks, display and push-buttons on the front panel. It is possible. Maybe someday I'll get it done :)
