Why isn't this one of the biggest bands in the world??!!! F**kin' corporations and their cookie cutter formula, pro tools, autotune, boy band, soulless, digital, lipsyncing music!!
y didnt he sing in the actual video??? he's brill yea the other singer is amazin n i watched the behinde the scenes n the main singer in the video was only 16 when this film was made
So much talent in this movie. And can you believe the guy playing the Telecaster is none other than Glen Hansard. He sure hit it big a few years ago with Once.
@seau2007 It's on the DVD. Originally Robert Arkins was going to play Deco until Andrew Strong was discovered by the filmmakers. Its a great number, but because Arkins ended up playing the groups manager, they couldn't use it for the movie.
@xTeamJBiieber Actually its Robert Arkins, who ended up playing the groups manager Jimmy Rabbitte. Andrew Strong (who you see singing backup) ended up getting the role of Deco for the movie.
I wanna tell you a story every man oughta know If you want a little lovin' you gotta start real slow She gonna love you tonight, if you just treat her right Oh squeeze her real gentle, you gotta make her feel good Tell her that you love her like you know you should She gonna love you tonight if you just treat her right If you practice my method just as hard as you can You gonna get a reputation as a lovin' man Yeah, you'll be glad every night that you're treatin' her right Hey hey hey hey
I have watched this DVD so many times I think I wore it out..One of the best movies to come out. Great acting, great singing and awesome music!! I even have both volumes of the soundtrack.
Youre not taking that horse in the lift are you? i have to, sure the stairs would kill him. Cool movie, epic soundtrack and Rob Strongs voice is outstanding.
Cause it wouldn't fit the storyline, the singer here plays the manager and the band has a problem lead singer so if it was in the film that the manager can sing the solution for the aspiring band would be to kick the singer out and have the manager as the singer, sometimes you just have to have an overview and forget great moments
it wasn't in the film. as robert arkins played the manager, the songs he sang on the soundtrack didn't appear (inc. bring her on home to me). apparently he was going to play deco until andrew strong turned up. he was cajoled into singing this with the promise of a number one. however, none of the singles were a big hit, while the albums were huge. niamh kavanagh is the female singer you hear in the film and on the soundtrack but who isn't a visual member of the band (eg destination anywhere)
"The Irish are the blacks for Europe. And Dubliners are the blacks of Ireland. And the Northside Dubliners are the blacks of Dublin. So say it once and say it loud: I'm black and I'm proud." Still a killer movie!
listen to roy buchanan's version, and hear what he does with the lead. absolutely kicks butt. this version is awesome. the movie is one of favorites of all time !!!!!!!
watched this last night on TV, ( about 20 mins in though, missed the audition scenes =( ) fucking blew me away. up to now blues brothers was my fav movie but the brothers in black is gonna have to make room for Jimmy Rabitte and his gang. getting a soul band together and just playing good music, my dream, and hopefully life plan.
