THE BIGGGGEST PROBLEM ABEL as is : (ABEL is ma favorite guy) when u try to do something, he ends up doing a pointless airgrab OMG !!!

Airgrab is reasonable. Normaly Abel will try to grab at the end of combo. So some players choose to jump when they get the first hit.

Oh yeah, and on top of that, he hits the Ultra in the corner. Anyone who uses Abel, who has tried to connect that Ultra in the corner knows it never hits. Maybe my timings off, but in the training mode, if you push the guy all the way to the corner, and try to do the Ultra combo after the elbow, it never connects.

at 3:37, how the hell did ComboFiend link that combo?? the Forward Kick dash into Strong punch etc... It doesnt link in training mode. I swear there are combos that link in matches that dont link in training mode.

he did a focus attack dash cancel then c.HP. but ur right i have no idea how he linked it. I can't do it either in training mode on ps3. The arcade version is different than console versions. For example ryu cna juggle twice with his jumping MP in the arcade version but you won't be able to do it on your ps3/360.

After watching the ultra part of that clip about a thousand times i figured out what happened... the counter hit came from the f. mk then he dashed and linked a c. mp -> change of dir -> exFADC... blah blah blah. I know for a fact that you can link standing FP out of a f. mk and finish with that combo... as sooner man said its probably a link specific to the arcade vers. And about the ultra, he's not completely in the corner, i've landed his ult from that position, im not sure about the corner

Abel is kinda like Alex from SF3 except with more throwing moves. i think i like Able more though. C Viper is pretty good too.....but her scream when she loses is too loud and annoying lol.....but shes pretty hot though =D

I don't think the grabbing is cheap...actually since SF3 it's becoming more important over and over.

But honestly, looking at ED MA mixups and the way he played the last rounds (he was grabbing a lot, maybe to counter the enemies throws, or to damage with his) however, I think in other 2-3 matches he's got the level to understand Combofiend's grab patterns.

Throwing has always been a strategic part of high-level Street Fighter. It is necessary for mind-games and mix-ups.

If you take out throwing, it's like playing Rock, Scissors, Paper without the Paper. Only scrubs think throwing is "cheap" since they don't understand this concept.

chuckabuck, what were you looking at? combofiend was the truth in that match. Ive seen cats win by using just kicks and turn them into combos. whats wrong using throws? who says it is weak? I say whatever is your game, use it and dominate, if you dont like it, stay out of the arcade. big rep to combofiend. come to think of it, i do believe that the majority of abel's move list is throws. hello? get ova it!!!

abel is a low tier char, sag is top tier, and concidered the most unbalanced char so far.. if u look at stats in japan, sagat is the least played in tournaments, but when is played, has the highest win %.. what does that say?

Abel is really not that good of a character, don't worry. Sagat is the cheap bastard of this game. Abel is probably not even top 5.

As a rule of thumb for fighters, no matter how powerful a character is in the storyline - they should always be as balanced as possible in the "real" game. Now, although Sagat isn't UNREASONABLY good - he still is pretty much the best character in the game. Hell, he's even better than his master - Dictator/Bison.

What's with her ground electricity attack? It hits one time, does sorry damage and the hit stun is ridiculous. I've seen other videos where Abel players grab her after that move. Is it suppose to be a chain command move like Yang/feilong's QCFx3 or is it stand alone. Does anyone has any in-depth info to Viper's movelist and how to play her?

Both players are amazing. I commend great players for learning NEW sf characters! I hear Abel is top-tier everywhere (along w/ Rufus, of course!), and that Crimson Viper's hard to learn/use. I like that 4-hit juggle combo he did with her (fire into electricity w/ 1 character also makes it awesome...how do you survive THAT? haha): very inspiring play by both :) but she takes SO much damage...who does she think she is: AKUMA? BAH.
