  • Awesome! One more use for the Chevy Astro van! Great work!

  • What is a slider? And what is that vertical frame? thanks

  • its actually the best idea , because i bet that weight only 200 lbs i have a western 8ft plow and it weighs a half ton puts extreme load on the front 2 tires and when i do drives all i have is the weight trying to pack over the snow the spring actually push down when the plow freefloats you my man are brillant , make it look neater and something alot of ppl can buyh and become a billioaire

  • How does the donward pressure spring hook up? and also, are you saying you have one cable hooked to the top of the plow to pull it up and another to pull it down from the bottom? im confused.. i thought winches only had one cable? Thanks!!! This Plow loks rocking!!

  • That is an impressive piece of work!

  • Did you made the truck too?

  • jolly good job!

  • U BROKE IT AT THE END LOL

  • hats off to you Mr. Auto master. i bow in the presence of your video after the money ive spent on plows haha

  • Really effective for a home made unit! Thanks for posting!

  • I love American Ingenuity!

  • We stand in awe.

  • Man that is one awesome setup! Would sure love to see a video on the complete setup. How the winch cable is routed and attached. looks like an awesome setup that could be adapted to a AgriCover SnowSport HD Plow.

  • THat's what I call a plow! You can even do a fine job plowing

  • Nice job buddy ! DIY is veery rewarding

  • Wow! simply genius! that lift mechanism is wild, that must have taken a while to design, its looks like it works extremely well and it back blades like a dream! my store bought plow doesnt even work that good! great job!

  • what brand it is ?

  • That is ingenious!! You should patent that!!

  • your plow works nice

  • damn nice to see people still think and know how to build as opposed to relying on coporations to tell us we want nice job bro

  • that's awesome what are you using to raise it up and down

  • @dewalt23293 A winch. One end of the winch cable lifts the plow. The other end of the winch pulls down on a spring that puts downwards pressure on the plow.

  • Now thats cool

  • holy crap......all the configureing i've done with my chevy now....why didin't I think of sliders?? u sir....are an effing genuis :)

  • That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.

  • is astro 4x4

  • MAKE A VIDEO OF YOUR SET UP

  • Great product I have same Astro van and like to make it. How you attach it to front part of van?

  • that's awesome, and it doesn't even seem to weight down the van at all

  • Can you tell us what materials you made the plow with?

  • The plow part is made of about 16 guage galvanized sheet metal over a 3/4 inch galvanized conduit frame with a 1 inch by 6 inch rubber bottom. The mechanical part is various scrap metal and a winch.

  • Hey, im just 13 but my dad has like 3 snow plows lol 1 suv (a suburban) a gmc (89 2500) and another gmc 1996, anyway doesnt that van egt stuck at all i heard the all whell drives driveshaft blow all the time, cuz we own a driveshaft company any thans send me a message.

  • It's a small plow. The awd Astro van works good for it and has great traction. So far the drive shaft's doing fine. The engine has 285,000 miles and does not use any oil. The transmission will probably be the first thing to go.

  • thats cool it's a van plow truck

  • you could make some money from that

  • nice van i whish i could have one of those i would put it in a demo derby. lol

  • what type of engine dose it have is it a V6?

    and whats it made of?

  • It's a Chevy Astro, more of a truck than a "minivan" It has an actual frame and it's all wheel drive. The plow is for light duty.

  • Looks like it would work well on a truck! Not sure it should be used with a van though!

  • Nice job on the plow. How wide/high is it?Made of alum?Rubber or steel blade?Van must be all wheel drive is it?Don,t mean to bug ya ,just interested in some details Thanks.Randy
